HomeMy WebLinkAbout1971-03-29PLANNING BOARD MEETING 'March 29, 1971 Chairman Lund called the meeting Clarke, Graham, Costello and Mrs. present. Also present was Frank 1 1 to order at 7:30 p.m. with members Brown, and secretary Mrs. Cole Sandy. The Board reviewed the plan submitted with the application Form A71-3 FORM A71-3 by Edward Mahlowitz, dated March 10, 1971, by Miller and Nylander, WALTHAM ST. showing lots in a CB district requiring no minimum size. Upon a motion duly made and seconded the Board VOTED: The plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", dated March 10, 1971, showing lots 1 and 2 on the corner of Waltham St. and Mass. Ave., require no approval under the Subdivision Control Law. The letter to the Chairman, Committee on Commerce and Labor, State House, H.5223 Boston, urging a favorable vote on H.522, which would require the Outdoor BILLBOARD Advertising Board to comply with local by-laws or ordinances in granting PERMITS billboard permits, was approved by the Board. Copies of the letter will be sent to Sen. MacKenzie, Rep. Cole and Rep. Cusack. The minutes of March 17 and March 22 were approved as submitted. Noted by the Board were the Historic District notices of hearings to be held Wednesday, March 31, in the Bird Room as follows: Joseph A. Buss. for a sign at the Flower Shop, 14 Waltham St. Philip & Julie Cadle for exterior architectural changes to the dwelling at 15 Meriam St. Hancock United Church of Christ for chains & supporting posts for driveways at 1912 Mass. Ave. The Chairman invited the Board to meet at his home on Saturday, April 3, 2 p.m. to discuss the proposed bridge or tunnel to be built by the Mass. Dept of Public Works to provide access to certain land in the town of Burlington on the easterly side of the new Route 3, which would affect land adjacent to lots on Turning Mill Rd., Lexington, if Legislative Bill H3344 is passed as proposed.
