November 5, 1968
' A special meeting of the Planning Board in its office on
November 5, 1968, was called to order at 7:30 p.m. by the chair-
man, Mrs. Riffin, with members Clarke, Fowle, Lund, Worrell and
planning director Zaleski present.
Possible Citizens articles by petition may be as follows: CITIZENS ARTICLES
Hamilton - Spring St. apartments
Stevens - Scope of nursery operation
White - Moderate income housing
(May be sponsored by the Board on request of
the Committee on Suburban Responsibility)
Lundstrom - Possible apartments at 5 Forks
Office on Middle St. park
It was decided to adopt the first version of Article on CORRECTIVE ZONING
page 1 of the planning director's memo of November 1, 1968, ARTICLES
and articles on pages 2 through 4 as changed, including pos-
sible articles on the elimination of occupancy permits and
removal of special permit requirements for non-commercial
greenhouses.
The nursing home zoning was discussed next. Several pro- NURSING HOME
' posals were made, including an article eliminating nursing ZONING
homes as a permitted use, an article revising and upgrading
design and dimensional standards for nursing homes and a series
of articles providing a new district which would permit nursing
homes over a certain capacity and which would be limited to the
parcels now occupied by nursing and convalescent homes and re-
lated uses. No decision was made regarding the dimensional
requirements, such as lot area, frontage, yards, % coverage,
etc. in such district.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m., after deciding to
hold the next meeting on November 11, 1968, at 7:30 p.m.
