HomeMy WebLinkAbout1968-02-19PLANNING BOARD MEETING February 19, 1968 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was held in its office, Town Office Building, on Monday, February 19, 1968. The meeting was called to order by chairman pro - tem Francis T. Worrell with members Greeley and Lund, and Planning Director Zaleski present. Minutes of Planning Board meetings of February 5 and 12, 1968 were approved. A group of about 23 interested residents appeared be- fore the Board to discuss the proposed rezoning to A 1 of the Corazzini land at Blossom St. and Lawn Ave. Mr. Holland submitted a petition signed by 122 residents and a map show- ing the extent of opposition and Messrs. Gould and Brigham spoke of anticipated traffic problems and hazards. Messrs. Compagnone, Walsh and Mrs. Walsh met with the Board to discuss the question of a subdivision on Denver St. The Board voted unanimously to accept the Lexington Farms sub- division plan dated February 12, 1968 for advertising and processing as a subdivision and to consult the Town Counsel regarding the possibility of simplifying the procedure of approving the lots. Attorney Dean Nicholson met with the Board to discuss the refusal of the Planning Board to endorse as not requir- ing approval a plan showing a reduction in size of lot at 304-302 Marrett Rd. It was decided to check with the Town Counsel. Upon a motion duly made and seconded the Board voted unanimously to request the Town Counsel to prepare and have executed by the applicants the agreements for the approval of Battle Green Park subdivision. Upon a motion duly made and seconded the Board voted unanimously to request the Town Counsel to prepare and have executed by the applicant the agreements for the approval of Centre Estates (Carol La.) subdivision. Resuming the discussion of the Corazzini rezoning article the Board agreed to hold off a decision for one week to give the absent members a chance to discuss it. Upon a motion duly made and seconded, the Board voted unanimously to go into executive session to discuss matters the premature disclosure of which could adversely affect ' the financial interests of the town or the reputation of any person. Following a discussion with the town counsel rela- tive to legal matters, the Board voted to resume open meeting. MINUTES CORAZZINI DENVER ST. LEXINGTON FARMS SUB.
