I October 13, 1964
A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was
held on Monday, October 13,1964 in its office in the Town
Office Building. The meeting was called to order by Chairman
Meyer at 8:00 p.m. with members Bryson and Riffin present,
also planning director Zaleski.
Mr. Cunningham met with the Board to discuss State
easement taken over his land from Pleasant St. to land of
Carrig. Mr. Cunningham would like to erect a retaining wall
to prevent excessive cutting of trees to build a slope and
questioned the need for 70' right-of-way and two walks. Mr.
Meyer answered that the requirements were Planning Board's
but based on Town Engineer's and Selectmen's recommendations.
Mr. Cunningham estimates cost of masonry and reinforced con-
crete wall at $18,000, but proposes 45° rip -rap wall at about
$83400. Mr. Meyer said the Board favors keeping the road as
far to the west as layout permits.

Letter to Selectmen on Laconia St. relocation was
discussed and signed by chairman.
Reviewed by the Board were the following Form A
applications for a determination of Planning Board juris-
diction:

Mr. Morris of Itek met with the Board relative to a
petition to be submitted by Itek to Board of Appeals. Itek

proposes to add test facility 48 x 70 to existing building
with construction deadline on March 1, 1965. He hopes for
favorable recommendation of Board for finding and deter-

mination. Itek will have another addition at a later date,
may include this second addition in the petition for the
first addition - to be submitted on Thursday, October 15.
Mr. Meyer states he believes the Board will be in favor of
proposed addition as they were one and one-half years ago.
Mr. Morris spoke of still another possible addition in the
future which may necessitate a variance for yard distance.
Mr. Al Hruby of Lexington Housing Authority met with

Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously
VOTED: that the Lexington Planning Board determines that
the'.plan accompanying Form A application #64-52 does
not require approval under the subdivision control
law and that said plan be so endorsed.
The Board then endorsed the plan.
Plans submitted with Forms A #64-53 and #64-54 were
retailed for further study.
EMERSON RD - Letter from Chester Lidberg was discussed, planning
LIDBERG director to prepare a reply for next meeting of the Board.
JACKSON ESTATES- Jackson Estates definitive plan was accepted, public
TODD REALTY hearing to be held on November 16, 1964.
BUDGET Selectman's letter relative to 1965 budget was read,
planning director to prepare tentative budget request.
Upon written request of Mr. Sullivan, and upon a
TILLINGHAST motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously

Minutes of Conservation Commission of September 22,
1964 were read and noted.
Articles for Special Town Meeting on warehousing,
ARTICLES FOR special uses in R 1 districts, rezoning of land for Lex -
TOWN MEETING ington Housing Authority and renaming of streets were dis-
cussed and signed for submission to Selectmen.
Mr. Moore's request for Board of Appeals permission
TODD REALTY to build a two-family house on Larchmont Lane at Bedford
St. was discussed and no objection was voiced to it.
