' October 5, 1964
A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was
held on Monday, October 5, 1964 in its office in the Town Office
Building. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Meyer at
8:00 p.m. with members Campbell, Riffin and Bryson, and planning
director Zaleski present.
Minutes of meeting of September 28th were read and MINUTES
approved.
It was decided to meet on Tuesday, October 13, 1964 DATE FOR
since October 12 is a holiday. MEETING
Reviewed by the Board were the following Form A appli-
cations for a determination of Planning Board jurisdiction: FORMS A
#64-50, submitted October 1, 1964 by Moore Realty
Trust; plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Moore Realty
Mass.", Scale: 1" = 40', dated Sept. 29, 1964, Miller Trust
& Nylander, C.E.'s & Surveyors.
#64-51, submitted October 5, 1964, by Alfred Busa,
Raymond J. Garcia Agent; plan entitled "Plan of Land Alfred Busa
in Lexington, Mass.", Scale: 1" = 401, dated Sept. 28,
1964, Joseph W. Moore, Inc., Reg. Land Surveyor.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously
VOTED: that the Lexington Planning Board determines that the
plans accompanying Form A applications #64-50 and
#64-51 do not require approval under the subdivision
control law, and that said plans be so endorsed.
The Board then endorsed the plans.
At 8:20 it was voted to go into executive session to
discuss items premature disclosure of which would jeopardize EXECUTIVE
financial interests of the town. Donald E. Legro, Town SESSION
Counsel, attended the executive session
At 8:35 the Board voted to resume open meeting. The
question of printing new Zoning By -Laws was then taken up ZONING BY-LAWS
and upon motion duly made and seconded, it was
VOTED: to have Hutcheson Co., the low bidder, print 500
copies of the By-law at an approximate cost of $400.
It was decided to insert new index and summary sheets pre-
pared by Mr. Zaleski and to renumber pages beginning with
page one. If possible By-laws should be punched but not
bound, if not too expensive.

Application of Daniel Curtin et ux for public hearing
REZONING on rezoning of land on Marrett Rd. opposite Spring St. and '
PROPOSAL Bridge St. was discussed next. Several residents of neighbor-
ing properties were present and asked questions regarding the
MARRETT RD. proposed use of land and the application of zoning requirements.
Mr. Meyer explained that the Planning Board will only review the
CURTIN zoning change, but the future use within permitted zoning, grad-
ing, access, etc. are outside the Board's competence. Date for
hearing was set for Thursday, November 12.
Reviewed by the Board was Mr. White's preliminary plan of
WHITE land off Pleasant St. and its relation to Emerson Rd. layout.
The plan was referred to Town Engineer for recommendations.
Release of lots 42 and 46 Dewey Rd. was executed by mem-

town engineer relative to it.

A discussion regarding long-range planning followed, in -

STREET NAME The article for the change of street names was approved

November 9, 1964•
The articles on warehousing and on special use require-
ments for R 1 districts were reviewed.

was decided to advise the Board of Appeals that the effect of

gravel removal could not be evaluated without a proposed con-

tour plan or overlay, that some slopes appeared to be too
steep (1:1) and that provisions should be made for insuring that
topsoil would be replaced upon removal of gravel, that a regis-
tered engineer or surveyor should be required to certify that
the removal was completed according to plan.

Plan was noted and it was decided to write Mr. Worthen a letter
of thanks.
