HomeMy WebLinkAbout1964-07-13I PLMTOG BOARD MEETING July 13, 1964 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was held in its office in the Town Office Building on July 13, 1964. The meeting was called to order by Chairman Meyer at at 8:00 p.m. with members Riffin, Campbell, Bryson and plan- ning director Zaleski present. The Board met with Dr. and Mrs. Ned Rasor and attor- ney Fred Conroy regarding the Rasor property at #80 Marrett MARRETT ROAD Rd. and their proposal to exchange portions of their land - against town land. This matter was discussed with the Board RASOR in the fall of 1962 or spring of 1963. No conclusion was reached at that time. Dr. and Mrs. Rasor would like to sub- divide their land to provide bridle trails and to cooperate with the town in developing park land. The planning director wiol consult with the town engineer regarding this matter. Mr. Alfred Busa met with the Board relative to Green Valley Section 7 subdivision. The preliminary plan was re- GREEN VALLEY viewed by the Board and Mr. Busa was reminded of the pre- vious agreement that he was to acquire tax title lots and BUSA construct the old portion of Circle Road including the drain therein. The Planning Board would process the subdivision upon Mr. Bass's furnishing a binding agreement as above. The minutes of July 6, 1964 meeting approved. MINUTES The following bills were approved: Ken -Kaye Krafts, Inc., drafting supplies --$8.39; Minute -man Publications, BILLS zoning amendments -478.00; Susan Vanderwal, secretarial services --$11.27. Considered next were the following Form A applica- tions which had been presented for determination of Plan- FORMS A ning Board jurisdiction: #64-33 (previously listed) #64-35, submitted July 9, 1964 by Alfred G. Camarano; plan entitled "Plan ef.Land in Lexington, Mass.", Scale: 1" . 401, dated July 9, 1964, Joseph W. Moore, Inc., Reg. Land Surveyor. #64-36, submitted July 13, 1964 by Mark Moore, Jr., plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", Scale: 1" = 401, dated July 9, 1964, Miller & Nylander, C.E.'s & Surveyors. After reviewing the above plans, upon motions duly made and seconded, it was unanimously 7-13_64 -2- VOTED: that plans accompanying Form A applications #64-33 ' and #64-35 do not require approval under the Subdivi- sion Control Law and that said plans be so endorsed. With reference to plan submitted with Form A #64-36 it was noted that the remaining land of Gladys M. Moore would be left without the required frontage on an existing street and therefore constitutes a subdivision. Thereupon it was unanimously VOTED: that plan accompanying Form A #64-36 requires approval under the Subdivision Control Law. Letter from Norman J. Richards re: Adams Estates Sec.III CORRES- was read and noted. The planning director will investigate the PONDENCE proposed exchange of land. Letter from John J. Carroll re: Bloomfield Street Exten- sion was read and placed on file pending receipt of more informa- tion from Mr. Hall. Letter from John J. Carroll re: Tillinghast Estates Sec II was read and referred to the planning director for action. Letter from Mass. Roadside Council re: signs was read and placed on file. ' Notice of the Historical Districts Commission meeting on July 16, 1964 was read and placed on file. Minutes of Selectmen's meeting of July 22, 1964 were placed on file. VINE BROOK The preliminary sketch of Vine Brook area subdivision (Angelo Busa) was reviewed by the Board and referred to the Angelo BUSA planning director for study and recommendations. Portions of the Subdivision Regulations draft were reviewed and discussed. Memo on zoning standards for nursing homes was distributed by Mr. Zaleski to Board members.
