' June 29, 1964
A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was
held in its office, Town Office Building, on Monday, June 29,
1964. The meeting was called to order at 8:00 p.m. by chair-
man Meyer with members Campbell, Greeley, Riff in, and plan-
ning director Zaleski present.
The board met with Mr. Harold C. Wilson and Mr. Albert
Miller, C.E., relative to proposed subdivision of land at PRELIMINARY
Eldred St. The preliminary plan was reviewed by members of SUB. PLAN
the board. It was noted that there was no indication of topo-
graphy as required by the Subdivision Control Law. Mr. Wilson WILSON-ELDRED
withdrew the plan to add some spot elevations.
Mr. Ralph H. Hall met with the board and presented a
preliminary plan of a subdivision entitled "Preliminary Pro- PRELIMINARY
file of Bloomfield St.", both dated June 29, 1964, by Miller SUB. PLAN
& Nylander. The plan was reviewed by members of the board
and accepted for review with the understanding that elevations HALL - BLOOMFIELD
be added on the plan as required by the Subdivision Control
Law.
Mr. Norman T. Richards, acting town counsel, presented -
partial release of Covenant for lot 3 Rolfe Rd., Glen Estates GLEN ESTATES
subdivision, trustees of Waymint Trust.- owners, together with
the second amendment to the bond and agreement relative there- WAYMINT TRUST
to. The partial release was signed by the board.
Plan of Tillinghast Estates, Section Two (Juniper Pl.
extension) was presented by Mr. William H. Sullivan together TILLINGHAST
with application having a grant of rights to Mr. Sullivan to ESTATES
extend Juniper Pl. by Chapin, Merriam, Rosenberg and Kinnard, -
owners respectively of lots 4, 3, 2, and 1. The plan and re- JUNIPER PL.EXT.
lease of rights were reviewed by Mr. Richards. Mr. Richards
believes the plan can be accepted and processed subject to
conditions that Town easement rights in original turnaround
must be released by town meeting. Easements for drain and
sewer would have to be returned by the town and the easement
for travel released and owners of lots l through4 and their
mortgagees would have to accept deeds to portions of original
turnaround subject to the -condition of future town release of
easement. The plan was accepted by the Planning Board, the
date for public hearing to be set.
Minutes of meetings of June 1, 4 and 15, 1964 were MINUTES
reviewed and approved as read by a unanimous vote.

through June 19, 1964 and car allowance, $103.26, through June I 263 1964, $101.50; James J. Carroll, 2 tax poll lists --$2.50;
B. L. Makepeace, Inc., prints --$5.24.
A bill for $100 for P.A.S. annual dues was approved con-
ditionally until the planning director can check when the last
bill for dues was paid.
It was decided not to engage any secretarial services
for minutes of public hearings without prior approval of the
board.
At 9:15 upon motion by Mrs. Riffin, seconded by Mr.
Campbell, the board unanimously voted to go into executive ses-
sion to discuss matters the disclosure of which would adversely
affect persons and financial interests to the town.
The following Form A applications were presented for de-
termination of Planning Board jurisdiction:

#64-33, submitted June 26, 1964 by National Park Service;
plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington and Lincoln,
Mass.1?, Scale: 111 = 801, dated June 20, 1964, Miller &
Nylander, C.E.'s & Surveyors.
#64-34, submitted June 29, 1964 by Colonial Development
Corp., Frank Capaldi; plan entitled 71A Subdivision of
Land Court Case No. 27511 Land in Lexington, Mass.11.
Scale: 111 = 401, dated June 25, 1964, Miller & Nylander,
C.E.'s & Surveyors.
Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unanimously
VOTED: that the plans accompanying Form A applications #64-32
and #64-34 do not require approval under the Subdivision
Control Law and that said plans be so endorsed.
The plan submitted with Form A #64-33 was reviewed by
members of the board and it was noted that the plan as presented
shows a subdivision. The planning director was requested to dis-
cuss the matter with the applicant and to arrange for modification
or supplementary note on the plan which would establish reasons
why the plan does not require approval as a subdivision.
A letter from the Board of Selectmen, dated June 25, 19643
relative to Laconia St. exit at Lowell St. was read and referred '
to the planning director for further review and recommendations.

Other letters as listed on the agenda for this meeting
' were read and contents noted.
Notices of Board of Appeals decisions regarding the follow-
ing applications were read and placed on file:

Notices of Board of Appeals hearing on the following

It was decided to transmit to the Board of Appeals copies of
letters in Planning Board files relative to Mr. Ericson's lots
on Grandview Ave.
Partial release of Covenant for lots 10, 11, 19, 20, and
21 in Carriage Grove estates subdivision was signed by members'
of the board.
The possibility of land exchange at Suzanne Rd. in Adams
Estates, Section III between the developer and town was discussed
and referred to the planning director to be taken up with the
selectmen and the town counsel regarding the possibility of land
exchange by selectmen without town meeting vote.
Summer schedule of meetings was discussed next. It was
decided to meet on July 6 and 27, and on August 10, and to de-
termine other meeting dates later. It was decided to hold a
public hearing on the definitive subdivision plan of Tillinghast
Estates, Section II (Juniper Place extension) on either July 27
or August 10, 1964.
The meeting adjourned at 11:15 P.M.
