The Lexington Planning Board held a regular
meeting in its office in the Town Office Ru°lding
on Tuesda7, March 19,1963 at 7:115 p.m. Present
were Chairman Mabee, Members Campbell, Greeley and
Mr. Snow, Planning; Director.
The Board first approved for payment the fol-
lowi.nr,: bills which had been presented: To be paid
from 1062 Carry-over of General Expenses: Linda Fern-
berger, professional services- 250.00. From 1963
General Expenses: II. R. McArdle, office supplies --
430.25; Colonial Suppl-, co., office sunpli es --X21.90.
Considered next were the following Form A
applications for determination of planning Board
jurisdiction:
1163-201 submitted March 15, 1963 by Custom
Colonials, Inc., Josenh 7. Chisholm; plan en-
titled "A Subdivision of Land Court Case No.
6°62 in T�exi nmtor, rTe ss . ", Scalp- V' = 60 T ,
' dated Jan. 29, 1063, Miller F, Nylander, C.F., s
and Surveyors.

PRELIMINARY The elan was entitled ''PreliminariT Plan of Lots in
PLATT Lexington, Mass.", and dated March 9, 1963. Mr. Snow
was asked to stu&r the elan and make a recommendation
SHIRLFY to the Board with reference to its approval.
Also reviewed was a definitive subdivision
BURNHAM FARMS plan entitled "Burnham Farms Section Six Lexington,
SFC. SIX Mass.", dates?. January 28, 1961) submitted for annroval
on March 15, 1963 by %T1111am T. Burnham of 30 Fast,
BUR'?TAM Street. The nr.onosed conditions at the intersection
of the new subdivision street and East Street were
particularly noted. Mr. Snow was asked to stud71r this
elan also and make a recd- mendation to the Board in
regard to Its approval. He was also asked to refer
the elan to the Town Engineer for his recommendation
and comments in regard to it. It was decided to
schedule a public bearing on Mr. Burnham's application
for Mond@,,, Anril 15, at 8:30 n.m.
It was reported that a conference to be held
ROUTE 2 - in the office of Mr. Walter T. Nue, Highway Design
SPRING Fngineer, Mass. Dent. of T'ublic Works, had been ar-
STREET ranged for March 20.at 10:00 a.m, at which time
representatives of the Department of the Bureau of
Public Roads would discuss vi.th town officials a d.e-
sir,,n for an interchange at Springy; Street and Route 2.
The chairman stated that the "lanning Board was
scheduled to meet with the Selectmen at their regular
weekl-* meeting to be held on Wednesday evening for
the purpose of discussinc; the conference and amT action
which the boards mirpht take jointly in regard to de-
cisions arrived at the conference. Tt was decided to
inform represFntatives of the department of the nublic
hearin? held on March 11 in regard to the pror.osed
zoning change in the vlcin.ty of SnrinF, Street and to
inform them of the Planning Board's position in regard
to this zoning nronosal.
The remainder of the Board's meeting was de -
1963 ANATIAL voted to a review of the Planning Board report on
TOWNT vari_nus articles In the warrant for the 1063 annual
M=TT?G town meetinL-. Tt was decided not to mint these re-
norts for distribution to town meeting members at the
adjourned town meeting to be held on March 25, but to
make a copy of the Board's reports available to each
petitioner for zoning amendments or to his representa-
tive prior to this adjourned meetir.c;.
It was decided to hole'; the next regular meeting
of the Planning Board on April 1, 19'3. The Board then
adjourned its meeting at 10:15n m.
