There was held next a general discussion in regard to various items proposed .for inclusion in MASTER the Board's proposed report on a master plan for PLAN Lexington. It was decided to hold on the following Wednesdat= evening_ a work session in regard to these Items. At 9:00 p.m. members of the Planning Board met with the Board of Selectmen at the same time Messrs. Alfred P. Tropeano and ?Iilbur C. Nylander met with the latter Board to discuss the situation with reference to the Waltham Street garden apart- ment project. Before the end of the discussion referred to above members of the Planning Board returned to their oim meeting for an appointment with the ' followi.ng representatives of the Itek Corporation: Messrs. C. T. Morris, Director of Property and Facilities; James W. Moore, Corporate Counsel; and Robert S. Toperzer, Associate Corporate Counsel. This appointment was made in response to Mr. Morris' letter of Sentember 18 to the I anning Board. (See minutes of the Board's meeting of September 2h, 1962.) The gentlemen -_resented to the Board what they considered to be the problem involved, the background of the problem, Itek's position in re- gard to it, and a request for a letter of inten- tion from the Planning Board to sunport reconsider- ation of the Board of Appeals denial of Itek's pe- tition for a variance. The matter was taken under consideration. There was next reviewed. the situation in re- gard to Mr. Adam Grigor's letter of July 31, 1962 in which he requested a partial release of his per- formance bond in connection with the Marrett Gar- dens, Section Two subdivision. It was noted that (1) the bond was secured by a deposit in the form ' of a savings account in the Middlesex Institution for Savings in Concord, Massachusetts, and (2) there had been received from the Ley n7ton Super- intendent of Public Works a letter, dated July 10, GARDEN APARTM TTS TROPEANO WU_q MARRETT GARDENS SEC. 2 GRI GOR 10-1-62 -1- 1962, in which it was indicated that a bond in the amount of 12,000 should be satisfactory to cover the remaining work to be comT)leted in this subdivision. Mr. Snow reported that should this be satis- factory with the Board, Mr. E. E. Stevens had made arrangements with the Middlesex Institution for Savings for the withdrawal from Mr. Grigor's account for such funds as the latter desired in excess of $2,000. The Board agreed to such arrangements. Thereupon Mr. Snow said he would obtain from the Town Clerk the bank book representing this account, giving the book to Mr. Stevens, and returning the bank book to the Town Clerk after the withdrawal of monies had been made. There being no further business to transact the Planning Board adjourned its meeting at 10:15 p.m. Thomas S.
