Re: Re -naming of Tidd Place TERRACE

other than Winship Terrace.

I am therefore submitting the name of "Juniper Lane" ,

The Board decided that it would anprove of
the name Juniper Terrace as a substitute for that
of Tidd Place. Mr. Snow was asked to send a memo-
randum to all concerned giving notice of the approved
change in street name.
There was exhibited a definitive plan, dated
EMERSON ROAD

-
prepared based on Mr. Snow's study plan showing a
LIDBERG
proposed location of _T:nerson Road across the Lidberg
land on Adams Street. (See minutes of Planning Board
meeting of April 21 1962.) Mr. Snow indicated on a
print of said definitive plan how the Lidberg prop-
erty might be subdivided taking into consideration
said road as well as adjacent properties. Tt was
decided to send this material to Mr. Lidberg with an
'
appropriate letter of transmittal. (See addendum.)

GIRRAC REALTY
tendent of Public '.forks, met with the Board from
TRTTST
8:40 to 9:45 p.m, to discuss said action. Tt was
the Board's understanding that said trust planned

to execute on or before May 16 a covenant to be pre-
pared by Mr. Stevens, said covenant guaranteeing the
performance of work to be done in said subdivision.
Based on this understanding there was reviewed a
marked set of prints of said cbfinitive plan, a pro-
posed vote modifying said plan and approving_ the
modified plan under certain conditions, and a pro -
nosed letter to the Girrac Realty Trust setting
forth certain recommendations and an agreement to be
made by the Board provided said trust granted to the
town of Lexington certain easements in and adjacent
to said subdivision, all to be acted upon at a later
meeting provided all matters appeared to be in order.

Discussed next with Mr. Carroll was a letter,
dated May 1., 1962s, from Mark Moore, Jr. to the Plan-
ning Board requestin7 reimbursement for the cost of
constructing Saddle Club Road, as had been recommended
by Hr. Carroll, si.x feet wider than normally required
for a subdi_vi.sion street. (See addendum.) Referring
to 3ectTons V.B.2. and V.A.1, of the subdivision rules
and regulations, Mr.Carroll noted that the Board could
require a greater width of roadway than 21L feet in the
case of princiral streets. He said he thought that
Saddle Club Poad was the principal street in the Bow-
ser Estates subdivision but that said road was not of
a capacity substantially greater than was necessary to
serve the subdivision alone. Mr. Carroll said that on
this basis he did not believe the subdivider should be
reimbursed for the extra width of pavement he had
recommended. The Board took the matter under advise-
ment.
There being no further business before the
Board, it adjourned its meeting at 10:00 p.m.

Gentlemen:
Yours very truly,
LEXINGTON PUNNTUG BOARD
/s/ Thomas S. Grindle,Chairman
May h, 1962
As you know Saddle Club Road in Bowser Saddle Club
Fstates section 1 must have a pavement of 30' in width as
requested by _"ir, John Carroll, Sunerintendent of Public
`riorks, 9s I understand it,, the necessity for the increase
In width from 21L' to 30' is because of the classification
as a nrimary road in the subdivision and thus would handle
more traffic. In view of the fact that this road will be
carrying traffic other than that which is generated 'n the
subdivi s orr, I wonder If the town m_iE;ht reimburse me for
the extra increase (6 ft) in the size of Saddle Club Road.
Saddle Club Road in section 2 will comprise 1,000
running ft, of road to which I would like to have some
consideration given.
MM/mb
Very trL117r yours,
/s/ Mark Moore Jr.
