PLANNING BOARD MEETING
March 7, 1960
A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning
Board was held on Monday, March 7, 1960 at 7:40 p.m.
in the Planning Board office, Town Office building.
Present were Vice Chairman Grindle, Members Burnell,
Mabee and Soule and Planning Director Snow. Mr.
Robert E. Meyer, candidate for membership in the
Planning Board at the annual town election being
held on said date, was the Board's guest.
The Board approved the payment of a bill for
°3.56 which had been submitted by L. M. Foster, Inc.

The attention of the Board was called to the
filing by Mr. Antonio Busa during the past week of

matters appearing to be in order, upon motion duly

made and seconded, it was unanimously
VOTED: that the definitive subdivision plan en-

titled. "Green Valley Section Five Lexinf-ton,
Mass.", dated October 29, 1959, which was
submitted to the Board by Antonio Busa on
November 30, 19591 accompanied by an appli-
cation for annroval of definitive plan, Form
C, dated 11%23/58, be and hereby is approved
subject to the condition that no building or
structure shall be placed on Lots 14 or 15
without consent of the Lexington Board of
Health.
From 8:00 to 8:10 p.m. the Planning Board
held a public hearing relative to the application

Mr. and Mrs. Robert G. Hargrove of 5 Loring Road,
OUTHET
Mr. and Mrs. Charles A. Shulte of 20 Baskin Road,
and Mr. Ernest E. Outhet attended the hearing. The
Chairman read the notice of said hearing as it had
been sent to all owners of property abutting the
land to be subdivided and as it had been published
in the February 18, 1960 issue of the Lexington
Minute -man. The Chairman explained the procedure in
conducting such a hearing and called upon Mr. Outhet
to present the subdivision plan.

Mr. Outhet pointed out that the proposed sub-
division was an extension of Baskin Road beyond Loring
Road for a distance of approximately 653 feet, nine
lots being laid out on said extension. He stated
that the next section of Loring Hill development would
connect existing ends of Baskin Road.
There being no comments or questions in regard
to said plan, the Chairman asked for an expression of
opinion of those present in regard to approval of the
plan. All present indicated that they favored approval
of the application. Thereupon, the plans were taken
under advisement and the hearing declared closed at
8:10 p.m.
From .8:25 to 8:35 Mr. Antonio Busa met with the
GREEN VALLEY Board to discuss stud* plan of his "reen Valley devel-
opment, said plan being entitled "Plan Showing Pro-

Mass.", and dated Sept. 17, 1957. He requested the
Boards informal opinion i.n regard to whether or not it
would apn_rove an extension of Lillian Road in a south-
westerly direction approximately 500 feet beyond
Anthony Road to the boundary line of his property so
that he might lay out a sixth section of his development,
said section comprising lots 9, 10, 11, and 12, as shown ,
on said nlan. Mr. Busa requested that the Board allow
him to construct a temporary turnaround at the end of
his proposed extension of Lillian Road rather than a
permanent turnaround as required by the Subdivision
Rules and Regulations. The Board took Mr. Busa's pro-
posal under advisement.
The remainder of the meeting was devoted to a
general discussion of current matters before the Board
and to a discussion of information in•regard to articles
in which the Board was particularly interested and
which they were proposing to present at the March annual
town meeting.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
