' At 9:30 p.m. the Board returned to the Town LORING Engineer's room to continue the Planning Board HILL meeting.-- Discussed first was the definitive sub- ESTATES division plan of the second section of the Loring SEC. 2 Hill Estates development, said plan having been previously disapproved by the Board. It was de- cided to a sk Mr. Gayer, Superintendent of Public Works, about the possibility of providing a level- ing area at the end of Fair Oaks Drive where it intersects Outlook Drive. It was thought that this would be done by modifying the horizontal alignment of Fair Oaks Drive reducing the area of proposed Lot 36 in such a manner as to increase substantially the radius of the southeasterly corner of the Fair Oaks - Outlook Drives intersection. It was decided also that the Board would not approve the Loring Road pro- file as it had been modified by Miller and Nylander, said modified profile being at least twelve percent grade. It was thought that a grade less steep could be provided between Stations 0+50 and 2+50. Mr. Grindle was asked to discuss this matter with Mr. Gayer and Mr. Snow. The Board next discussed the petitions to be heard by the Board of Appeals on April 8, 1958. It was decided to take no action on the petitions tobe heard with the exception of the Corr petition to BOARD subdivide the property bounded by Lincoln and Shade , OF Streets and Route 128, the proposed subdivision to APPEALS be comprised of six lots which would not meet the minimum requirements of the zoning by-law. It was decided to ask Mr.Corr to come to the April 7, 1958 CORR meeting, the Board wishing to obtain for the Town an option to purchase a portion of said property for the purpose of constructing a road to give additional access to the proposed regional shopping center on the Swenson and contiguous properties. The meeting adjourned at 10:30 p.m. *RichaLrdA Soule, Clerk 1
