HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-03-24PLANNING BOARD MINUTES ' March 24, 1958 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was held in the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building, on Monday, March 24 1958 at 7:30 p.m. Present were Chairman Grindle, Members Abbott, Burnell, Jaquith, and Soule, and Planning Director Snow. The Board approved the minutes of the meetings of Feb- ruary 3, 10, and 24, March 3, 10, 12, 17 and 19, 1958. Taken under consideration were the following Form A applications for determination of Planning Board jurisdic- ticns #58-18, submitted on March 24, 1958 by Robert A. Carrig, agent for E. J. Corrigan; plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington -Iris.", Scale: 1" i 40-3 dated Jan. 17, 1958, Albert A. Miller & Wilbur C. Nylander, C.E.'s & Surveyors, Lexington, Mass. #58-19, submitted on March 24, 1958 by Robert A. Carrig, agent for Ernest J. Corrigan; plan entitled ' "A Subdivision of Land Court Case No. 27302, Lexing- ton -Mass.", Scales 1" 0 401, dated Jan. 17, 1958, Miller & Nylander, C.E.'s and Surveyors. #58-20, submitted on March 24, 1958 by Robert A. Carrig, agent for Ernest J. Corrigan; plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington -Maas.", Scales 1" a 4013 dated Aug. 21, 1957, Miller & Nylander, G.E.'s and Surveyors. #58-21, submitted on March 26, 1958 by Sandy Brook Corporation, Thomas T. Tuck, Pres.; plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, Mass.", Scales 1 in. 401., dated March 14, 1958, Fred A. Joyce, Surveyor, Belmont, Mass. Upon motion duly made and seconded, it was unani- mously VOTEDs That the Board determines that the plans accompanying Form A applications #58-18, #58-19, #58-20, and #58- 21 do not require approval and that said plans be signed bearing the endorsement "Lexington Planning Board approval under Subdivision Control Law not re- quired." Discussed by the Board was Mr. Norton's March 4, 1958 letter in regard to his preparation of a case study of the MINUTES FORMS -A REGIONAL current regional shopping center proposal in Lexington. (See ' SHOPPING March 10, 1958 m nutes.) It was decided to write to Mr. CENTER Norton suggesting that his meeting with the Board to discuss PROPOSAL the project be postponed until after the town has officially CASE STUDY voted on the matter but that if there is any information the Board can furnish him in the meantime, it would be pleased to hear from him.
