HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-03-12 PLANNING BOARD MEETING March 12, 1958 Three members of the Lexington Planning g Board attended the Precinct 4-5-6 meeting of the Town Meeting Members Association in the Maria Hastings School on Wednesday, March 12, 1958. At 8 05 p m. , prior to that meeting, the Board held a special meeting of its own in said school. Present were Chairman Grindle, Members Abbott and Burnell, and Planning Director Snow. The purpose of the meeting was to act upon OUTHET applications for approval of the Oak Knoll Section REALTY Two and the Lor np Hill Estates Section Two defini- TRUST tive plans, bonds in a form satisfactory to the Board having been filed with the Planning Board on OAK KNOLL March 12, 1958. All matters appearing to be in SEC . 2 order in regard to said Oak Knoll plan, upon motion made by Mr. Burnell, and seconded by Mr. Abbott, it was unanimously VOTED That the definitive subdivision plan entitled "Oak Knoll Section Two Lexington- Mass . ", dated Dec . 18, 1956, which was sub- mitted to the Board by Outhet Realty Trust, Ernest E. Outhet and Kenneth F. Blodgett, Trustees, on Jan. 27, 1958, accompanied by an application for approval of definitive plan, Form C , dated Dec . 30, 1957, be and hereby is approved. In regard to the plan for the second sec- LORING tion of the Loring Hill Estates development, Mr. HILL Snow reported that on a final check of the plan ESTATES it was noted that the profiles of Loring Road and SEC. 2 Fair Oaks Drive did not provide for leveling areas at the lower end of said roads, andthat for this reason some adjustment would have to be made in the design of the road grades It was decided that the Board should disapprove the plan and Mr. Snow would confer with the Superintendent of Public Aorks in regard to the matter, notifying Miller and Nylander in regard to the corrections to be made on said plan. It was also decided to notify Mr. Corrigan that as soon as tre plan is in proper form and re- turned to the Board, it will be in a position to rescind its disapproval and approve the subdivi- sion Plan. Thereupon it was moved by Mr. Abbott, seconded by Mr. Burnell, and unanimously VOTED: That the definitive subdivision plan en- titled "Loring Hill Estates Section Two Lexington-Mass. ", dated Dec . 17, 1957, which was submitted to the Board by Ernest J. Corrigan on January 27, 1958, accompanied by an application for approval of definitive plan, Form C, dated Jan. 24, 1958, be and hereby is disapproved for the reason that the plan does not comply with the design standards of the Rules and Regu- lations Governing the Subdivision of Land in Lexington, Mass . The meeting adjourned at 8:15 p.m. Levi G. Burnell, Jr. Clerk 1
