PROPOSAL
1-13-58 -2-
problem of determining an equitable arrangement ,
BURNFAM wherein the Town could acquire for recreational
FARMS purposes a Dortion of the former Burnham Farm now
SFC. 2 owned by Mr. Mark Moore, Jr. and being developed by
him as a residential subdivision. (See minutes of
January 61 1958.) Using for comparative purposes
Mr. Moore's original preliminary plan, dated Jan.
30, 1957, and the Board's suggested scheme for the
second section of Burnham Farms, it was decided to
proceed as follows: (1) the Board, for option pur-
poses, would offer Mr. Moore P"6000 for the land it
wished to a cquire, said land to include approxi-
mately the rear half of the lot numbered 113 North
Street, said lot to have new boundaries and the
westerly half of said new lot to have an easement
for public recreational purposes; (2) the Board
would proceed with the necessary steps for the Town
to acquire a portion of Mr. Kendrick's land to pro-
vide an extension of Emerson Road from the southerly
corner of Mr. Moore's land to East Street; (3) Mr.
Moore would construct the extension of said road to
Fast Street; and (4) Mr. Moore would construct the
bridge for the Vine Brook crossing. Tt was further
decided that Mr. Grindle would discuss this proposal
with Mr. Moore and that Mr. Snow would prepare for
the use of Messrs. Grindle and Jaquith a plan of
teat portion of Mr. Kendrick's land for which it was '
desired to obtain a street option.
The meeting adjourned at 10:00 p.m.
