HomeMy WebLinkAbout1958-01-06 PLANETNG BOARD MEETING January 6, 1958 A regular meeting of the Lexington Planning Board was held in the Town Lru neer ' s Room, Town Office Building on Merida-, January b, 1958 at 8 00 p.m Present were Chairman Grindle, Members Abcott, Burnell, Jaquith and `oule. Town Counsel Stevens was present from 9 30 to 9•!15 p.m The minutes of the January 2, 1c58 meeting were MINUTES approved The Board received a letter, dated December 111., SCHOOL & 1957, from the Recreation Committee recommending that RECREATION the Planning Board try to acquire options for several AREAS recreation sites to be located in general areas sug- gested in said letter. It was decided to arrange for a joint meeting with the Recreation ano Elementary School Sites Committees on January 20, 1958 to discuss future school sites and recreation areas anc.. that recom- mendations be proposed by each of the three agencies. The Chairman was authorized to send to the Select- TOWN men a list of proposed sites for future town dumps DUMP (See addendum. ) Mr. Jaquith r e-orted on suggested changes in zon- REGIONAL in by-laws for proposed Filene ' s Shopping Center as SHOPPING recommended by Filene 's attorney, Robert Vance Brown. Mr. Moore said that the land the Board wished to recommend MOORE to the town for acquisition as a recreation area in- REALTY volved the house at 113 North St and seven or eight TRUST potential house lots which he valued at $2000 each. He said he might consider exchanging this land and construct- ing the proposed extension of Emerson Road to East Street in exchange for a town-built bridge over Vine Brook but that he would not consider including in any such agree- ment the house numbered 113 North Street unless compen- sated for said house.
