Minute -man. He then explained the procedure to be
followed in conducting the hearing and called upon
the applicant to present his plan.

explained that the proposed modification was to
eliminate a portion of Linmoor Terrace which was to
be relocated as part of the proposed second section

At 8:15 p.m. the Board held a public hearing on
HEIGHTS
the application of Moore Realty Trust for approval of
SEC. 2
a definitive subdivision plan known as "Hancock

Heights Section Two Lexington, Mass.", and more par -
HEARING
ticularly described as follows: an extension of
Crawford Road in a southerly direction for a distance
of approximately 49 feet and an extension of Linmoor
Terrace in northerly and westerly directions for a
distance of approximately 731 feet. Present at the
hearing were Mark Moore, Jr., representing the peti-
tioner, Mr. Richard Hofheimer, 15 Ballard Terrace;
Mrs. Ruth Morey, 90 North Hancock Street; and Mr.
Raymond W. James, 66 Blake Road. Chairman Grindle
read the notice of the hearing as it was sent to all
property owners abutting on the proposed subdivision
and as it was published in the September 19, 195 7 issue
of the Lexington Minute -man, said notice being the
second half of the one previously read in connection
with the proposal to modify the first section of the
Hancock Heights development.
When the applicant was called upon to present
his plan, Mr. Moore explained various details of the
proposal. Mr. James then expressed concern about the
possible increase of traffic at the Crawford -Preston
Road intersection, this being brought about by connect-
ing Linmoor Terrace with Crawford Road. He called to
the Board's attention the alignment and steep grades '
on Preston Road in the vicinity of Crawford Road. It
was the general feeling of the Planning Board that
Preston Road being an accepted street, that any cor-
rective measures in regard to the grades of the road
would have to be taken care of by the town.
Chairman Grindle asked if there were any other
questions or objections in regard to the plan as pre-
sented. There being none, he declared the hearing
closed at 8:30 p.m. at which time the Planning Board
meeting was adjourned.
