HomeMy WebLinkAbout1956-12-06PLANNING HOARD MEETING December 6, 1956 A special meeting of the Planning Board was held in the Town Engineer's Room, Town Office Building, December 6, 1956 at 7:30 P.M. Present were Chairman Hathaway, Messrs. Adams, Jaquith and Purnell. Mr. Snow arrived at 9:30 P.M. The Board discussed the production of minutes of Board Meetings. It was agreed, starting with the next regular meeting of December 10, 1956, that the rough draft of minutes will be typed by the Secretary in triplicate and forwarded --one copy each, to the Plan- ning Director, Board Chairman and Clerk. Minutes for Board approval will be prepared by the Clerk. The Planning Board Budget for 1957 was discussed and adopted as follows: EXPENSES: Clerical Assistance 500.00 Postage and Supplies 200.00 Travel Allowance 250.00 Advertising 150.00 Printing 150.00 Sundry Items 50.00 Maps and Blueprints 150.00 Professional Services and Master Plan 3,000.00 Equipment 100.00 Association Dues 0.00 49600-00 PERSONAL SERVICES: Secretary $ 21250.00 (C $3,000 yearly) Planning Director 7,2 0.00 9,500- 00 TOTAL BUDGET: $14.9100.00 A discussion of a general nature was held in regard ' to Lexington's M 1 zoning district. Recognizing the need for speedy action in establishing new boundaries of and proper controls for M 1 districts, the Board asked Mr. Snow to bring to the next meeting further information for the Board to study.
