Monday, August 91 1954
Present; Adams, Grindle, Irwin, Hathaway, Ripley.
Meeting opened at 7s45 o'clock. Letter read from Richard B. Hay-
ward, applicant, and from Mr. Allen Benjamin res Samuel Snow, applicant.
Dianne Estates
Discussion held res plan of Dianne Estates, public hearing for which
had been held on July 26th. The Board decided that it would approve the plan
Vith the connection left unfinished but open since it is more practical from
the town's point of view to have a passageway.
Zeeland Construction Co.
Letter received from Board of Health stating they had doutts as to
the satisfactory use of septic tanks on Robinson Hill. Under this condition
the Planning Board has no choice but to approve the plan with the endorse-
ment that lots could not be built upon until approved by Board of Health.
Under these circumstances Mr. McConchie left his decision as to disposition
until he had considered further. Stated he had a report from Whitman &
Howard, Engineers, approving all but one lot. Will give his decision within
two weeks.
' Snow
Mr. Samuel P. Snow was present for further discussion with the Board.
Stated he had had an interview with Mr. Benjamin and thought he knew what
the Board required. Did not intend returning to Alabama and would be avail-
able right away. However he did have other proposals under consideration so
could not delay too long. Would not supplant Mr. Benjamin. Wished to know
the town's procedure as to vacation, sick leave, etc. and Mr.__Adams said he
would seAd the rules and will give a definite answer within two weeks after
checking references.

Moved by Mr. Hathaway, seconded by Mr. Irwin that all plans listed above
be endorsed "Approval under subdivision control.law not required." So voted.
Also received was Form A, plan dated Aug. 4, 1954, Laconia St., presented
by William A. Murray with in oc`�rrect legend and also a 'Way" 'which it was felt
needed z�urther study,—
Also plan from Boston & Maine RR. of lot on Mariam St, which was returned
for Form A and inscript ono sgend.
Blaisdell
Mr. Blaisdell and Nk. Cummings were present for informal discussion rela-
tive to a printing plant they would like to build on Rote 2 at Spring St. and
Route 128. Were told of the attitude of citizens in that area toward business of
any kind. They stated it would be modern and attractive and would not be noisy.
They will look into the matter further.
DeVries
Mr. George Devries presented , Form C and other necessary data to-
gether with plan of Section 2, Sun Valley, for definitive approval. Plan dated
August 2, 19511 showing Whipple Road, Fairlawn Lane and unnamed street. The Barns
decided upon for this was Locke Lane. Moved by Mr. Grindle, seconded by.Mr.
'Ripley that date for public hearing be set for Monday, August 23rd, 8 o'clock.
So voted. (Plan returned to Mr. DeVries for lettering in of Locke Lane.)
Board of Appeals hearings
Mr. Adams read list of hearings of Board of Appeals to be held on Thurs-
day, Aug. 12. Those of interest to the Board were continuation of saved and.graysl
pit by Quinn, and petition for permission to erect building for sale of flogs,
etc., retail, by Millican. Mr. Irwin will attend the hearings in the interest of
the Planning Board,
