PLANNING BOARD MEETING
July 2, 1956
A special meeting of the Planning Board was held
on July 2, 1956 at 7:30 p.m. in the Town Engineer's
Room, Town Office Building. Chairman Hathaway, Messrs.
Adams, Burnell, Grindle and Jaquith were present. Mr.
Abbott was present until 8:00 p.m. and Mr. Snow, Plan-
ning Director, until 8:15 p.m. both having other en-
gagements.
The object of the meeting was to take action on
an application for tentative approval of a preliminary
plan for Section Three of the Robinson Hill subdivi-
sion, said application having been submitted by Zee-
land Construction Co.,Inc. The Board first reviewed
the entire history, as it is set forth in the Board's
minutes, of the development of the subdivision and
likewise examined the Board's file on plans relative
to said development. The preliminary plans which were
submitted for Section Three were then studied along
with a number of suggestions for improving said plans.
At 8:25 p.m.,after due consideration, it was
moved, seconded and unanimously
VOTED: that the preliminary subdivision plan en-
titled "Plan Show;ng Proposed Subdivision
of Lots in Robinson Hill, Section Three,
Lexington, Mass.", dated May 232 19561
submitted on June 41 1956 together with
an application for tentative approval,
Form B, dated May 281 1956 be disapproved
for the following reasons:
1. Vertical and horizontal lines of pro-
posed street intersecting with Diana
Lane require re -alignment as shown on
said plWh.
2. Proposed sewer system for said street
does not make adequate provision for
extension in easterly direction beyond
lot 7.

3. Termination of said proposed street
should be at easterly boundary line of
Lot 7 with provision made for a temporary
turnaround 120 feet in diameter.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned.
