Snow's office at the Barnest property on Monday, Povember 28, 1955, at 740 P.M. Chairman Adams, Messrs. Abbott, Grindle, Hathaway and Jaquith were present as were Mr. Snow, Planning Director, and the secretary. Mr. Stevens, Town +Counsel, was present from 8;50 to 9.3 P.M. The Chairman read a letter from Mr. Ampolo, dated November 28, 1955, requesting a change in agreement to AMPOLO be secured by a bond rather than by the present con- GRAHAM RD, ditional approval contract. It was decided that be- SUBDIVISION fore the Board took any action on the letter a letter from Mr. Burns should be obtained stating the present status of the work and the amount necessary for its completion. The following bills were presented for payment: ' Spaulding -Moss Company, stapler and sta 'l 0; John L. McAdams, one gross of pencils, 10.00; and BILLS Panama -Beaver of New England, Inc., 12 boxes of car- bon, $51.30. Mr. Grindle moved, Mr. Abbott seconded the motion and it was unanimously voted that the bills be approved as presented. Mr. Monsignore requested an informal opinion of the Board in regard to a plan for a proposed access MONSIGNORE road across his land connecting Laconia Street with ACCESS TO the old.Battleview Park subdivision which he wished to BATTLEVIEW develop. The plan was drawn by Miller and Nylander PARK and dated November 7, 1955• In studying the plan Mr. Snow drew a sketch modifying the Monsignore proposal to thkt the latter+s land and that of the adjacent Kelly property could be developed to better advantage by a relocation of the road. The Board felt that Mr. Snow's proposal was an improvement of the original scheme and authorized him to discuss the matter with the various interested parties involved since to carry out his proposal an exchange of land would be necessary. The Board discussed the preliminary subdivision BASKIN plan of the former Ryder property dated and submitted SUBDIVISION by W, John Baskin on November 21, 1955• After consult- ing various maps of the area and related properties, PRELIMINARY PLAN ' Mr. Snow was asked to study the plan and recommend action for the Board's consideration. Mr. Stevens arrived at 8:50 P.M. In discussing AMPOLO with him Mr. Ampolo's request of the BcEaxd, Mr. Stevens GRAHAM RD. suggested that it might be advisable, instead of re - SUBDIVISION quiring a bond, to secure the revised agreement with a certified check which could be used to finish the street at a later date without assessing betterments should the subdivider be unable to,complete his con- tract, Mr. Stevens was given for his files a copy of a SUN VALLEY certificate of satisfactory performance in regard to SECTION Section � of the Sun Valley development, received by the Board from Mr. Burns, Town Engineer, and dated November 28, 1955• Mr. Stevens left the meeting at 9:35 P•M• The remainder of the meeting was spent working on proposed historic districts legislation for legislation.
