Record of the previous meeting read and approved. Bills James J. Moved by Mr. Hathaway, seconded by Mr. Grindle and unanimously VOTED: above plans be signed bearing the -endorsement "Lexington Planning Board approval not required under subdivision control law." A letter from the Board of Selectmen dated May 10 was read advising that the following streets were scheduled for the next town meeting war- rant: School St. from Marrett Rd, at Lincoln St. approximately 2400 ft. to Mass. Ave. and a proposed street running southwesterly from Bedford St. to Mass, Ave, approximately 1930 ft. It was moved by Mr. Irwin -and seconded by Mr. Grindle and unanimously VOTED: that School St. and proposed street be and hereby are approved, It was suggested that an article be inserted in the town warrant which would include all the streets to be renamed which are similar in sound. 'Hearing Sanitary a.�..".Sewer A public hearing was held at 8t00 o'clock in Estabrook Hall in re- gard to a proposal to see if the Town will vote to amend the Lexington Zon- ing W -law by adding in Section 2 - Definitions, the following: (P) Sani- tary Sewer. A public Sanitary Sewer of the Town of Lexington. No citizens were present and there were no questions nor discussion. Hearing closed at 8:05 o'clock. Hearing - Leonard V, Short A public hearing was hold at 8:30 o'clock in Estabrook Hall on pe- tition of Leonard V. Short and others to amend the Lexington Zoning By Uw by changing a certain area from an R-1 district to a C-1 district, land on easterly side of Waltham St. adjacent to the Waltham City line containing by estimation about 7 ages. Dr. Leonard Short present as petitioner and ten other citizens. Dr. Short stated that this area has changed in character, it now abuts a busi• ness district and is nest to a liquor store; it is low land and not good for residential purposes. He feels that the area would be benefited by the change. Mr. Chester Duval. of Waltham St. asked several questions as to pur- pose for whicb�it would be used, the location, and if it would not increase the traffic problem. The uses of a C-1 district were explained, and it was stated that plans for widening Waltham St. are already on. record. There was no further discussion and no-one wished to be recorded as ' for or against the petition. Hearing closed at 8:45 o'clock. A joint meeting was held with the Selectmen re: the municipal park- ing plan. It was agreed that the plans as previously drawn were to serve as a basis upon which Mr. Burns was to proceed to make a survey of all the properties involved and prepare engineering plans for the town meeting to be held on June 20th, SIdnelli Form C application for approval of definitive plan for Cary ru Realty Textension of Fairbanks Road subdivision, was submitted by Mr. Spinelli. It was agreed by -the Board -to set the date for public hearing for Monday, June 6,•1955, 8:00 p.m, in the Engineer's office. Tracings of the subdivision plan for Robinson Hill Section II approved by the Planning Board on April 25th, were endorsed y. Li-. r It was monied by Mr. Hathaway, seconded by Mr. Irwin, that Fawn B subdivision plan submitted by Custer Lidberg, "Plan of Land in Lexington., Mass., dated April 18, 1955, owned by Chester aDd Adella..Lidberg_.and sub- ' mitted April 18, 1955 be disapproved on the basis that there were insuf- ficient_means of access to adjacent properties.
