HomeMy WebLinkAbout1955-05-09 PLANNING BOARD MEETING Monday, May 9, 1955 Present: Adams - Abbott, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Jaquith - Snow. Meeting opened at 7:30 o'clock. The record of May 2 was approved. Bills Samuel P. Snow, reimbursement for Dasor drafting lamp, $14.70: Adams Press, legal advertising, $2.50; George E. Smith, drafting supplies, $3.83; Louise M. Baker, secretarial service April 11, 18, 25, $15.00. Unanimously voted_ the bills be paid, Mr. Adams not voting. Form A #55-38, submitted May 9, 1955 by Mary E. Hickey. Plan en- titled "Punof Land in Lexington, Mass.," scale ref - 401, dated April 9, 1955, Miller & Nylander, C.E.'s and Surveyors, Lexington, Masa. Form A #55-39, submitted May 9, 1955 by homy L. and Camello Siano�a plan entitled "Plan of Land in Lexington, �s.N, scale 1" - 30', May 2, 1955, Fred A. Joyce, Surveyor, Belmont. Moved by Mr. Grindle, seconded by Mr. Hathaway and unanimously VOTED: above plans be signed bearing endorsement "Lexington Planning Board approval not required under_subdivision control law." Perm A, #55.40, submitted by Mr. Cahill and was referred to Mr. Stevens or c ecking as to its status as aivision. Mr. Stevens was asked as to the procedure for changing the name of a street, and he advised that it must be changed by vote of the town meeting. In the case of two streets appearing in subdivision plan sub- mitted by Mr. Cahill - Hill Avenue and Summit Avenue - it was suggested that these be changed as soon as possible in order to avoid duplication and before the area is built upon.
