Carrig Mr. James Carrig, Mr, Robert Carrig and Mr. Nylander appeared for informal discussion re: plan dated Oct. 30, 1953, Watertown St. and Concord Highway, approved Nov. 17, 1953 with notation "Approval not required under subdivision control law," These lots do not have the required area and front- age under the existing law. Mr. Carrig wished to know if the Board would ad- vise his asking Board of Appeals for variances on total layout or go ahead with the 5-6 lots with frontage on Concord Highway and forget the rest. This was taken under advisement. However, it was the feeling of the Board that it would be better to go before Board of Appeals since the lots are all of good size and it would avoid entrances on the Pike. Mr. Snow to study the plan further to see if some lots can be worked out with more frontage without too much loss to Mr. Carrig. Anastasy In view of the time limit, after discussion, Mr. Hathaway moved, Mr. Grindle seconded and it was unanimously ' VOTED: that the preliminary pian of Anastasy dated Oct. 15, 19511., submitted Oct. 20, 1954 together with application on Form B dated Oct. 15, 1951 be disapproved. Concord Ave. Widening Mr. Allen Wade of Concord Ave. wished to know the status of the pro- posed Concord Ave. widening. It was the opinion of the Board that this en- trance to Route 2 created a dangerous traffic situation. Mr. Hathaway moved, Mr. Grindle seconded, and it was unanimously VOTED: that a letter be written to the Board of Selectmen asking that they give this matter further study, stating that the Planning Board objects to the present plan of entrance to Route 2, as a dangerous traffic situation. Title on Plans Some discussion as to the adequate method of entitling plans in order to properly distinguish them. Mr. Snow to draw up a form in the way he wants it, to be used as a guide for the developer, to be tried out. Ross After discussion of plan of Mrs. Eleanor Ross, Battle Green Develop.. ment, the matter was held over for further study by Mr. Stevens. r i Conroy Letter read from Board of Selectmen stating that MT. Conroy ob. , jected to the name of "Vaille Ave." for the street on which his house stands. Moved by Mr. Jaquith, seconded by Mr. Grindle and unanimously VOTED: that letter be sent to Board of Selectmen stating that the Planning Board wished their vote of October 25 to stand; namely, that 'recommendation be made to the Board of Select- men that the street on which Mr. Conroy's house is located 'be named Vaille Ave., making a continuance of the present Vaille Ave.", Form A presented by Elizabeth L. Svedeman.of 2S5 Marrett Road, plan showing su vision of land, one lot with rootage on Marrett Road and one on Down- ing Road. Moved by Mr. Irwin, seconded by Mr. Grindle and so voted that plan be signed bearing endorsement, "Approval of Lexington Planning Board not required under subdivision control law." Saran Letter received from Mr. Bidwell re: Sarano hearing stating.that he wished it to be recorded that 18 lots of the Barrymeade subdivision had been sold while the area was in business zone. Board of Appeals Hearings ' On bearings to be held by Board of Appeals on Thursday, Nov. 18, for that of Joseph P. Spinelli for permission to subdivide lot 9 into two sepa- rate lots, it was decided that someone from the Planning Board be present and oppose for reasons of drainage and sewerage if it became apparent that an additional house lot is to be added to the Fairbanks Road subdivision. lmb Meeting adjourned at 11 o'clock.
