HomeMy WebLinkAbout1954-10-18 1106 PLANNING BOARD MEETING IIIMonday, October 18, 19511 Present: Orindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Jaquith, Ripley - Snow, Stevens In the absence of Mr. Adams, Mr. Aiden Ripley was elected chairman pro tem. Meeting opened at 7:45 o'clock. Sarano Proper check having been made on petition presented by Mrs. Helen B. Sarano, on motion of Mr. Jaquith, seconded by Mr. Orindle, it was VOTED: Date for hearing on petition of Mrs. Helen B. Sarano asking for change in zoning by-law from R-1 to C-1. on lots 9 and 10 of land at corner of Marrett Road and Lincoln St. be set for Monday, November 8, at 8 o'clock. Area deemed affected for notification - 500 feet down all intersecting streets. Operation 128 Since the fee for attending the tour known as "Operation 128" is $5.00 it was decided that Mr. Snow look into the matter and if he feels it is ad- visable to go the Board will pay the fee. III Form A Plan submitted by Richard S. Morehouse, dated May 28, 1954, and showing revised property line between lots 15A and 16A on Moon Hill Road. Variance granted by Board of Appeals on August 26, 1954. Mr. Hathaway moved, Mr. Jaquith seconded and so VOTED: Above plan be endorsed "Approval of Lexington Planning Board not required under Subdivision Law." Plan signed. Lincoln Terrace Letter received from Mr. Burns stating requirements had been satisfac- torily completed on Lincoln Terrace development. Copy of this letter given to Mr. Stevens together with copy of Mr. Carrig's original agreement with the Board in order that he might prepare the necessary papers for the conveyance of the utilities to the town and the discharge of the agreement. Conroy Letter received from Mr. Conroy requesting that his address known as 192 Bedford St. be changed to 1 Marion Road, inasmuch as this is a separate short street and much confusion results. It was felt that there was too much ,, similarity between the names of Marion and Merriam, and it was moved by Mr. Jaquith and seconded by Mr. 0rindle and so cc VOTED: Recommendation be made to the Board of Selectmen that the above street be named "Way" Street. It was suggested that Mr. Snow'meet with the various Boards and-in- dividuals, such as Police and Fire Chiefs, etc. connected with the town in order to find out their particular problems that they might be included in the over-all planning.
