Bills Bill presented by Mr. Allen Benjamin, preparing Rules and Regula- tions for Subdivision of Land, $330.00. Dewell'Co., Boston, mimeographing- 200 imeographing200 copies Rules ind'Regulations, 500 Form A, 200 Form B D E -F, 200 Form C, 200 Form G - $126.25. Unanimously voted these bills be paid. ''Blackwell Letter received from Mr. Blackwell stating that he believed be- cause of the wide -spread interest in petition -as presented by him, that he should not bear the entire expense of $1.00.00, Mr. Potter moved, Mr. Hatha- way seconded, that previous action as to the amount of this bill be sus- tained. So voted. Bissette Plan left by Mr. Bissette for signature by Board as not requiring approval, land on Lowell and Summer streets. This was left for further checking. Board of Appeals Mr. Adams announced that of the several hearings to be held this coming Thursday by the Board of Appeals, the only one of interest was for permission to erect a hospital on southwesterly corner of Watertown street and Concord Turnpike. This might cause a traffic hazard if entrance is planned on Pike. A member of the Planning Board will attend the hearing. Meeting of Planning Boards Moved by Mr. Ripley, seconded by Mr. Hathaway, that the Board -in- vite the Planning Boards of Arlington and Winchester to meet with them to discuss the new proposed highway, date to be set at the convenience of all. So voted. Blackwell Discussion relative to Mr. Blackwell's petition. Art. 70. Altho there is not too much objection to this, there is the feeling ha there should first be specific plans and that the whole area should be given more study, and that this should be part of the work of the new consultant, Art. 71 and Art. 72 (oil storage and increase in height of storing and pro- cessing facilities7 Opposed. Art. 73. It was felt that this article too needed more study. Recommendations are left until after precinct meetings. , Acceptance of Streets Letter read from the Board of Selectmen stating they were recom- mending the acceptance of the following streets; Under the Betterment Act; Bertwell Road, Buckman Drive, Dawes Road, Oak Terrace and Williams Road. Not under the Betterment Act; Appletree Lane, Barberry Road, Ballard Ter- race, Bates Road, Battle Green Road, Benjamin Road, Castle Road, Field Road, Holton Road, Hutchinson Road, Lantern Lane, Minute Man Lane, Patterson Road, Peachtree Road, Peartree Drive, Philip Road, Scotland Road, Stearns Road, Webster Road, Wildwood Road, Williams Road and Wyman Road. Mr. Potter moved, Mr. Irwin seconded, that this recommendation be approved. So voted. Mr. Stevens was asked whether or not he felt the Board should make statements at Precinct meetings if asked, relative to their feelings towards the zoning amendments as petitioned for by Mr. Blackwell. Mr. Stevens stated that inasmuch ab the Precinct meetings were held for the purpose of securing information he didn't see any reason why the Board mem- bers shouldn't make statements if they wished to. It might give the im- pression if not answered that either the Board was not on the job or was not being frank. Meeting adjourned at 9:30 o'clock. Thomas S. Grindle, Clerk
