HomeMy WebLinkAbout1953-11-171 PLANNING BOARD MEETING Tuesday, Nov. 17, 1953 Present: Adams, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Potter, Ripley. Meeting opened at 7:25. Two letters read re: Robinson Hill development, one from Nutter, Mc Mennen & Fish and one from Mr. William N. Swift, both of which were referred to Mr. Stevens, Town Counsel. Silva Mr. Silva presented for tentative approval plans in required form of land on Sunnyknol.l Terrace, Minute Man Engineering Co., dated Nov. 9, 1953, comprised of three lots. These plans taken under advise- ment. DeVries Still a question of whether the plans were deemed approved automatically when sewer connection shown, as they had been approved subject to Board of Health approval. The original plans of Pleasant Associates showing Douglas Road, Whipple Road, and Wheeler Road by George Burnett, C.E. dated Feb. 285 1952, Fairlawn, Sec. 1 with the exception that sewer connection was shown, were submitted and taken under advisement. Carrie Plan to be signed under new code of release was submitted by Mr. James Carrig for plan showing lot on Cambridge -Concord Highway and westerly corner of Watertown st., No. 1-5. Signed by Board. Also one lot on Watertown street bounded by Watertown street and Belmont Springs Trust. Coward - Cates Mr. Stanley Coward, 166 North St., submitted plan of Kenneth Oates. Plan was returned for completion of specifications. Lexwood Poultry Farm Plan of Lexwood Poultry Farm, Miller & Nylander, dated May 5, 1953, 50 6, and 7 on southeasterly side of Maple St. Signed under new code. Diana Lane Milton Hodgdon submitted two plans of Diana Lane showing two ways of finishing street. Plan returned with the suggestion that the two lots on southwesterly end be turned into one lot before signing by the Board. &a G� C• Conservation of Land It was decided that statistics and maps should be drawn up ' and mimeographed for town meeting. It was suggested by Mr. Hathaway that since the Board was divided on the recommendation, two reports should be given, the majority and minority. Mr. Potter agreed to draw up a minority report to have presented along with the other. Also decided to ask Mr. Kelley in at 8:30 the following Monday to further explain his amendment.
