Presents Adams, Grindle, Hathaway, Irwin, Potter, Ripley.
-Meeting opened at 7x45 ofelock.
Black
Mr. Walter Black presented plan showing changes in his original
plan which would abandon the end of Slocum Road and combine several lots
on Minola Rd. in an attempt to reach the required frontage and area. The
plans were taken for consultation with Mr. Stevens as to the legality of
abandoning the road, and if so, what the effect would be on the status of
the development.
Vine Valley Realty
Mr. Palermo presented plans showing his "S" curve straightened out,
for which he desired tentative approval. Plans were taken under advise-
ment and Mr. Palermo was asked for profiles.
Ampolo
Mr. Ampolo presented plans showing the proposed road changed to
other side of house so that ample side yard would be provided, also better
entrance to Burlington St. He desired tentative approval. Plans taken
under advisement and he also was asked for profiles.
Bills
The following bills were presented: Rita McNamara, typing two agree-
ments, $8.00; Louise Baker, secretarial service, April 6, 13 and 27, j15.76;
Adams Press, publishing hearing, Westgate Builders, $7.50. Unanimously
voted all bills be paid.
Recreation Committel
The Recreation Committee comprised of Dr. Howard Foley, chairman,
Messrs. Person, Crerie, Samborski, Allen, Potter and Garrity, appeared
for suggestions as to a location for a Little League field. They need
about 5-6 acres, fairly level, with good access. Sites were suggested on
Maple st. beside Gail Smith's land; Baskin land on Williams road; and land
beside Countryside on Lowell st.
Wilson
Mr. A. D. Wilson of 167 Wachusett ave. Arlington appeared with
plan showing lots between Marrett road and Spang street which had no out-
let. Wished advice as to how this could be obtained. Was advised to get
in contect with Mr. Spinello whose development abutts his to try to work
out something together.
Methodist Church
Mr. Greenland and Mr. MacPhse appeared with plan showing proposed
site for new Methodist Church at canner of Stratham road and Mass. ave.
Wished information as to location of proposed new road to see if it would
interfere with their plans. Mr. Burns stated he would get that information
for them.
Laconia St.
Letter read from Mr. Kelly of Kelly Corporation re: widening asid re-
location of Laconia st. Wished to know if the Board was favorably disposed.
Decided that Mr. Kelly should be informed that the Board is favorable but it
is up to him to go ahead and take the initiative in petitioning the County
Commissioners for abandonment.
