HEARING - Universal Building Corp.
Public hearing was held in the Engineer's Office at 8 o'clock an application
for approval as a subdivision the property of Universal Building Corp. located as
follows: a street running northeasterly from Burlington street near Kineen's Park
a distance of about 1400 feet and comprising approximately 54 lots. First approval

Platin . About 28 citizens were present.
Many questions were asked, mainly by Mr. David Long, Mr. Beauvais, and Mr.
George Glover as to problems of drainage, depth of cuts and fill, upkeep of grassed
slopes, rights of access to street during and after building, and traffic problem on
Burlington street. Mr. Wilbur Jaquith stated that he had notice of private restric-
tions of which he would send a copy to the Board. Mr. Platin answered that the
drainage would be taken care of by piping the area into the brook which is now the
natural drain; that the high points would be filled in so as to slope gradually to
the road and planted with grass; that it was to their interest to keep the property
looking well for selling purposes and that the town would eventually take the road;
that there was not much that could be done about traffic on Burlington street but
hoped eventually to have another exit through McConchie property for some relief.
Discussion was confined mostly to questions with no great objections. Plans were
taken under advisement.
