HomeMy WebLinkAbout1952-10-20PLANNING BoRm MEETING Monday; October 20,1952 ' Presents Adams, Hathaway, Irwin, Johnson, Ripley. Meeting opened at 8 o'clock. Hearing scheduled to be heard on petition of Lester Andrews for re- zoning, on motion of Mr, Hathaway, seconded by Mr. Irwin, was postponed un- til Thursday, November 6, Estabrook Hall, inasmuch as insufficient time had elapsed since notification of interested citizens. However, since a number of citizens were present an informal discus_ sion of the problem was held until 9 o'clock. Bill Bill presented by Adams Press, advertising hearing, Lester Andrews, two issues, $11.26, and hearing of James A. Carrig, two issues, $3.76. Unan- imously voted the bill be paid. -gearing - James A.Carrig Public hearing was held on petition of Jams A. Carrig for approval as a subdivision the property on Lincoln street near Audubon road, formerly known as the McCafferey estate. A number of citizens were present and several ques- tions asked, especially pertaining to drainage which was brought up by Mr. Geddes. These were satisfactorily answered and there were no objections. Taken under advisement. Carrig - Minute Man Highlands A letter from the Board of Health was read regarding Sections II and III of Minute -Man Highlands approving Section II but disapproving Section III. However it was understood that the Board would.pass upon each lot individually as building permit was applied for, and Mr. Carrig stated he had Engineers Whitman & Howard working on the area to determine just what had to be done to each individual lot in order to make it buildable. Plans were taken under advisement until further report from Mr. Carrig, L�ide Construction Co. Mr. Bertagna and Mr. Geroni appeared with plan of their subdivision showing the entrance road moved down one lot, approximately 125►, nearer Watertown street as requested. However, some of the lot plans bad been changed and there was some question of proper frontage. This plan is to be referred to the building inspector for his approval at which time a date for hearing will be set. Universal Development Corp. Mr. Foster Ducharme and Mr. Gordon Platin appeared for Universal De- velopment Corp., Pine Street, Bedford, with plans for proposed layout of sub- division in area of Kineen Park, Burlington street.
