Meeting opened at 7145 p.m.

Discussion of Minute Man Center. Two factors to be consid-
ered - traffic and development on 'Pike which the Board has been
against. It was decided to ask the State for a traffic count both
ways on the Pike and on Watertown street. Reld over for further dis-
cussion at next meeting.
Edison Wax
Mr. Burns presented plan showing parking on entire area. Cost
of paved area plus whole two-way road as per Selectmen's plan, $12,700.
Ill Cost of paved area and road on sections A and B plus drainage, $9,500.
Parking area to line of R.R. (without road) $8,200. Total amount of
parking, one way road, 128 cars as against 111 with 2-way road. In
principle, the plan was approved, and it was voted to support it if
the whole undeveloped area as shown is preserved for free public park-
ing for a period of at least 20 years, that the area be drained, and
that the way be one-way. A letter to be sent to the Selectmen so
stating, they to take care of arrangements as to how it shall be done.
U.S.Armv
It was decided to invite Mr. John E. Allen, representative of
the New England Division of Corp of Engineers, U.S.Army, to meet with
the Board at their next meeting, Monday, October 15th, to discuss how
the town will be affected by the new project with regard to water,
sewerage, housing, etc.
Bill
Bill presented by Louise M. Baker for $10.00, secretarial ser-
vice for Aug.10 and 24. Voted the bill be paid.
