Monday,June 18,1951
Presentt Adams, Caouette, Irwin, Johnson, Potter, Ripley,
Meeting opened at 7:45 p.m.
1.9r. Ernest Lindstrom, Building Inspector, reported that he had
talked with r.1r.Joseph Goodwin of Pearl street ret the unsightly condition
of his property. r's. Goodwin had agreed to clean up and had partly done
so. However, there was still a lot of junk around and he was doing busi-
ness unlawfully. Mr. Lindstrom has written the Board of Selectmen for
further instructions.
Bop's Club
Mr. 'Pulliam 1.1aloney and 11r. Colby Kelly representing the Lexing-
ton Boyts Club appeared for discussion of contemplated purchase of Ryder
land between Winthrop Road Extenhion, Waltham Street, Vine Brook Road, and
Sherburne Road for future use of Boy's Club. They were advised that the
Board could do nothing until definite plans were submitted, but it was
agreed that the location was an excellent one for the purpose.
1Rhitcomb
Mr.E.J.Whitcomb of 77 food street appeared to see if he could
get relief for a water condition on his property. He was advised that this
area had not been included in the plans submitted for approval and that
therefore the Board could do nothing about it. The only relief would be to
get Town & Country to live up to their promises.
It was recommended that Mr. Adams request the Board of Selectmen
to set a definite time for Mr. Burns to meet with the Planning Board as too
much time is wasted waiting for him to get through with the Board of Select-
men. If this cannot be arranged for Monday evenings, it was suggested the
meeting night be changed to Tuesday.
Bills
Bill was presented by Adams Press for $1.88, advertisement 6/14/51
of Lexington Estates Trust for hearing. Unanimously voted the bill be paid,
Mr.Adams not voting.
