HomeMy WebLinkAbout1950-10-23 PLANNING BOARD MEETING Monday, October 23,1950 I Present: Cromwell, Adams, Burns, Caouette, Johnson, Ripley. Meeting opened at 7:30. Reporting on the petition of J. J. Brennan for removal of gravel on Trapelo Road, Mr. Caouette stated that there had been no objection on the part of the Planning Board and the Board of Appeals in Waltham had been so notified. Porter Mr.Daniel Lynch appeared with petition from Richard P. Porter and Jane E. Porter of 786 Concord Turnpike for date of hearing to be set on pro- posed change in zoning by-laws to permit the erection of a Howard Johnson stand. There was considerable discussion by members of the Board inasmuch as the area designated by the Planning Board had been enlarged without the knowledge of the Board. It was Mr. by Mr. Johnson and seconded by Mr. Adams that a letter be sent to L . Lynch in regard to this petition to the following effect: that inasmuch as the signatures received did not cover 50% of the value of the property in the area designated by the Planning Board on date of September 8, the Board could not set a date for a hearing. In any event it would not be possible to advertise and hold a hearing in time to get the article in the Towh Warrant for the special town meeting on November 27. So voted, chairman to write letter. Simeone, I Louis Maffei and Peter Savello appeared for Benjamin Simeone for approval of plans for sub-division dated April 194, Miller & Nylander, EE's The plans were returned for further changes Kelly Corporation Mr. Fred Joyce and Russell Joyce of Belmont appeared for the Kelly Corporation for approval of plans for re-location of Laconia Street. Plans returned to engineer for redrawing of a definitive outline according to sug- gestions by the Planning Board. Harry Hull Mr. Fred Joyce of Belmont appeared with request for date of hearing on plans of sub-division of Munroe Estate. Date of hearing set for November 20th. James Carrie }!r. Fred Joyce of Belmont appeared for James Carrig with request for date of hearing for sub-division and layout on northerly side of land on Con- cord Avenue. Date of hearing set for November 20th. Cloth Map I Mr. Adams moved and Mr. Johnson seconded that a Zoning Map of the Town of Lexington be redrawn on cloth following the coming town meeting. So voted. Meeting adjourned at 10:10. \ 4p 4 A.
