Burns.
Meeting opened at 7:30.
Louise F. Sexton et.al.
Petition received from Louise F. Sexton et al requesting hearing for
change in zone from R-1 to C-1 on plan of lots on Fletcher Estate. Date set
for same time as hearing on recommended new zoning by-laws, if possible,
November 2.
Suggested Traffic Circles
Motion by ,Ur. Adams, seconded by Ur. Caouette that four badly congested
traffic areas; namely, corner of Coolidge Ave. and Hancock St., junction of
Mass. Ave , Pleasant St. and Fallen Road, corner of Pleasant and Watertown
Streets, and corner of CT'oburn and Lowell Streets be studied by the Town En-
gineer for the possibility of installing traffic circles. So voted.
Date of Hearing - Zoning By-laws
Mme. Stevens stated that he believed Cary Hall could be secured for the
evening of 'Toy. 2 or 3 for hearing of proposed zoning by-laws if so desired
It was voted that the Hall be secured for Thursday, November 2 if possible.
J J Brennan
A notice was received from the City of Waltham, Board of Appeals, to
Town of Lexington as abuttor, of petition of J. J. Brennan of 1666 Trapelo
Road for permission to remove sand and gravel from his property on Trapelo
Road, hearing to be held Tuesday evening, October 17. Mt. Potter, Mr. Ripley
and Yr. Caouette agreed to look at the land and whatever decision they made,
r:r. Caouette agreed to take the recommendation to the Board of Appeals
Publication of Zoning By-laws
The revision of the zoning by-laws was completed and it was voted that
they be published in the October 19th issue of the Lexington Minute-man pro-
vided the date of hearing was established prior to that time.
Fruit and Vegetable Stands
Ta.. Adams suggested that all stands selling fresh fruits and vegetables
have their attention called to the provision in the new zoning by-laws which
states that only products raised on the premises shall be sold.
