Meeting opened at 7:45.
Peter Zitso
Letter received from Peter Zitso regarding the possibility of mak-
ing the land on the southerly side of the Catholic Club on Waltham
Street into a business zone. The Hoard requested the Clerk to write a
letter to Mr.Zitso enclosing the usual forms of amendment to the Zoning
By-laws to be returned for action.
Russell House Proper_-
Mr.Caouette stated that the petitioners for the Russell House prop -
arty would like the Planning Board to set a date for a hearing re pro-
posed amendment to Zoning By-laws re hotel and garden apartment. Date of
Hearing set for August 28th at 8:00 p.m.
' _Parking Zone - New Street
Letter was read from the Board of Selectmen to Chamber of Commerce,
copy of which was sent to the Planning Board, inquiring if any action had
been taken regarding proposed parting space in rear of Batsman's and other
stores in Center, or new street to run from Edison way to Meriam Street.
It was suggested that the Clerk mite a letter to the Board of Selectmen
asking if it was their desire that the Planning Board take this matter up
again inasmuch as the Board had had this project under way at one time;
also to incorporate in this letter the question of parking area adjoining
Cary Library on Parker Street.

A bill was presented from Muriel Wilson and Rita. McNamara for typing
easements to the amount of $19.00. Unanimously voted the bill be paid.
