Minutes of the Lexington Planning Board
October 181, 1949
Meeting called to order at 8:20 P. M.
Present: Cromwell, Johnson, Adams and Caouette
batter of the appearance at the Hearing Room 166,
State House at 10 A. M., October 20, 1949, with refer-
ence to the matter of protection at grade crossings
at Meriam Street and Hancock Street --voted that: The
Clerk attend to represent the Planning Board. Voted
that the Planning Board, by unanimous vote, oppose the
simple installation of automatic lights at Meriam
Street and Hancock Street grade crossings as a replace-
ment for manually operated gates.
Request by Hiss 'i`illard for change in Zoning By-
law. Voted, that a hearing be held November 8th at
8 P. Y. and that notice be published in the Lexington
' Yinuteman--October 20th and October 27th.
Discussion followed regarding parking meters and
parking lot rear of Salter, Minot, Williams and Bangs,
O'Connell and Hunt properties --voted that: The Planning
Board seek a meetino- with the Board of Selectmen,
bonday, October 24, 1949.
Meeting adjourned 9:24 P. M.

October 18, 1949
Meeting called to order 8 P. M.
Present: Cromwell, Johnson, Adams and Caouette
On petition of Charles C. McLaughlin --Custom
Built Homes for road extension of Woodhaven. Appear-
ing to represent Custom Built Homes, Joseph G. McLaughlin,
25 Vohipple Ave., Roslindale and Engineer, Fred A. Joyce,
Shean Road, Belmont.
The Chairman called the matting to order and there
being no opposition, the Board took the plans, as pre-
sented, under advisement and will advise the Petitioner
of its decision.
Hearing adjourned at 8:15 P. M.
