' Presents Cromwell, Johnson, Worthen, Ripley Adams Burns Richards.
The records of the previous meeting were read and approved.
Golden Avenue Subdivision
Mdr.Robert J.Bertagna, president of the Ridge Construction Corp,,
of 36 Churchill avenue, Arlington, and LLb% Ford of Brooks and Co.,C.M.,
came in to see about a subdivision of land on Bowman street and Golden
avenue (adjacent to. the Arlington -Lexington line). This land is entitled
"Proposed Subdivision of Land in Lexington, Massachusetts, belonging to
the Ridge Construction Co.,Inc., scale 1" = 501, Everett I5. Brooks Co.,C.E.,
Newtonville", "Part of Land Court Case 1190480. Golden avenue now exists
in Arlington up to the Lexi gton line. The new area contains approximately
ten lots. The profile for Golden avenue shows maximum of 10% grade, which
will mean considerable cut. A topo of the Land is also at hand. The
Board granted tentative approval of the layout with the understanding that
the final plat is to be turned over to the Board by next Tuesday so that
advertising may be started.
Mr.Blackwell appeared re: his letter on payment of his account.

Mr.Cromwell stated he would write a letter to Ur.Bl.ackwell outlining our
understanding.
Discussion of 26nin Br -law QWR"
A. Lot sizes. Mr.Johnson reported on conversations with Miss
Edith 'Willard who preferred larger size lots but is not sure
that they are now practical. Mr.Johnson also reported a simi-
lar talk with 14r.Albert H.Burnham who felt that the present
size lots were desirable. There was further extended discussion
on the subject. Zoning by zones and increased in depths of lots
were among the suggestions.
B. Mr.Blackwell read through again the zoning by=law changes which
were approved last week.
C. Minor changes suggested in zoning by-law:
1. Definition of single family building to conform with build-
ing by-law.
2. Section 4 permitted uses.
3. T-1 and C-1 districts to change to C-1 and C-2 districts.
' 4. Pd -1 district to be left as is, but with the addition that
there be no residences in it.
Hearine on Rix Petition
The receipt from the Board of Assessors of the list of
petitioners for the proposed addition to the business area on the Rix
land at the corner of Waltham street and Marrett road was noted. The
owners of over 50% of the valuation of the land in the area are in favor
of the petition. The date for the hearing will be set at next week's
meeting.
