HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-06-29PIAMMM BOAM MEETING ' June 29, 1948 Present: Cromwell, Johnson, Adams, Worthen, Burns. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and accepted. Selfridge Development. I;-ir.Cromwell read a letter from Tir.Selfridge asking for a 30 -day exten- sion on his agreement to complete Carl and Afyrna roads. P1r.Cromwell stated that he would talk to Town Counsel on the matter. Mr.Johnson moved and Mr. Worthen seconded a motion that the agreement be extended not over 60 days subject to advice of Torn Counsel. So voted. Castle Road Agreement A letter was received from Town Counsel with documents terminating the Castle road agreement with John Baskin. 11t.Trorthen moved and Mr.Johnson seconded.a motion to sign the initial releases to W.John and Frances May Baskin and the Town of Lexington. So voted. Rix Qwstion Pr.J.lawrence Mles brought in a request for extension of business zone adjacent to Mr.Rix's property on Waltham street near P,Qarrett road. Ur.11iles ' was given the proper application sheets. E R hall Development at 917 TJa Avei Mr -Duffy introduced Ilr.E.R.Hall of 917 14assachusetts avenue with a pro- posal to lay out his land as shown on the sketch submitted. The matter was informally discussed and 11r.Hall was given an informal answer that his pro- posed suggestions were acceptable subject to the Subdivision regulations. In general he was told that the Board would look with favor on the extension of Spencer street with a turn around. ADMov_al of Vet's H63Me on Hill Street Mr.Johnson moved and Pe7r.Worthen seconded a motion to approve T)b?.Riebard Harding's house on lot 3 of the Veteran's lot on Hill street. So voted. Po7r.Albert D.Evans' application was approved subject to filing of dupli- cate plans. - Zoning Discflssion There was a general discussion on new business areas, through ways and other fundamental zoning problems. It was suggested that Ilr.Blackwell be asked to the next meeting to outline his program. The meeting adjourned at 10 P.M. I Respectfully submitted, Alan G.Adams, Clerk
