June 15,1948
Present: Johnson, Cromwell, Adams, Richards, Burns, Worthen.
The records of the previous meeting were read and accepted.
Aerial Photographs
Mr.Cromwell brought in two complete sets with keys of the :Aerial Survey
of Lexington taken June 3, 1948, by Eastern Aerial Surview,Inc.
i.n2 Street Develnnment (Cutler Farm) - Custom Built Homes,Inc.
Mr.Cromwell read a letter from Mr.McLaughlin of Custom Built Homes,
Inc. requesting the extension for one year of the completion bonds on the
two agreements which he signed. I:'. Burns reported on the work done so far
and stated that the first agreement is substantially completed but not the
second. It was decided to hold the matter over for a week and have Town
Counsel present at the next meeting to discuss the matter.
Auprovgl of Veterans' Houses
The following houses on the veterans' lots on Hill street were sub-
' mitted for approval: Petterson, lot 12; Gilman, lot 7; Belcher, lot 6;
Connolly, lot ll; Neal, lot 16; Martin, lot 18; McCullough, lot 19; Hyde,
unnumbered lot; Hyman, lot 4; Govan, lot 20. Er.Richards moved and Hr.
Worthen seconded a motion that approval of these houses be postponed until
next week when a copy of the agreement prepared by the Selectmen and signed
by the applicants be secured by the Clerk for study.
Elan of Lots on Oak Street. Lots 1, 2 thru 6, 10.
Mr.Burns wanted to know where he stands on this development. The
plan submitted showed land to be donated to the Town for a 40' width on Oak
street. No more than a formal discussion ever took place on this layout,
and he it is on an accepted way no official approval is needed.
Letter from the Selectmen,
The Board of Selectmen sent a letter to the Planning Board asking for
a report on June 28 on the number of veterans' houses approved.
