HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-06-01PLAPiG BOARD mwII- ' June 15 190 Present: Cromwell, Johnson, Adams, Richards., Worthen, Bruns. The Castle Road situation Was discussed further with reports by Messrs. Adams and Richards on conversations with Vx.0soar Carlson., owner of the lot at the corner of Hayes Avenue and Castle Road. The Planning Board has received a letter from John Baskin stating that he intended to build Castle Road to comply with Town requirements. Mr.Richards moved and Mr.Johnson seconded a motion that Mr.Baskin be released from his bond on Castle Road construction according to agreements to be prepared by Town Counsel Lynch. Unanimously voted. Howland Plans Before considering the application for approval of the plans of Mr.John Howland for a home on one of the veteran's lots on hill Street., the pertinent paragraph in the regulations for applicants for these veterans' lots Was recti to the Board. There was some discussion on Mr.Howland's plans and Mr.Jobnson moaned and Mr.Worthen seconded a motion that the Planning Board recommends fur- ther study as to the exterior design. 'Harry Wyman Plans Plans for a prefabricated house on lot 4 of the veterans' lots on Hill Street were submitted by Harry Nyman, 73 Central Street, Waltham. The clerk was instructed, to write a letter saying that according to the agreement signed by Mr.Wyman, plans, specifications and plot plans are necessary before the Planning Board can give their approval. The Board would like to call attention to the fact that in the past prefabricated homes have not been passed by the Building Inspector and have had to go before the Board of Appeals. The Board suggest consultation with the Building Inspector before returning to the Planning Board. The meeting was adjourned at 9130 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Alan G. Adams, Clerk 1
