HomeMy WebLinkAbout1948-05-25PIANNIM BOARD METING May 25, 1948 ' Presents Cromwell, Richards, Johnson v � s Adams Burns Worthen Si Gari de Amicis Land Mr.Earle S.Tyler, legal representative of the Lexington Savings Bank, was present to explain the difficulty of registering laud purchased by Sicari de Amicis on Suunyknoll Road. This land as shown on the submitted plan could not be recorded as it was understood that Xll Road is not an accepted way. A telephone conversation with Town Counsel Lynch stated that this road is a public way by adverse possession. It was decided to ask for a letter stating this and that a copy of it should be sent to Nr.Tyler. Mr,Jobn Baskin appeared before the Board to discuss the situation re- garding the agreement and bond for the construction of Castle Road. There was a lengthy discussion covering the entire situation and it was finally de- cided that Mr.Baskin would write a letter to the Board stating his intentions. Michelson Tax Title P=cbase, MUthrop Road A proposal. by Herold Michelson to purchase a portion of land on Win- tbrop Road formerly owned by Robert L. Ryder and taken by the Town for taxes, ' was submitted to the Board for recommendation by the Board of Selectmen. The Board was unanimously of the opinion that no action be taken in accordance with their previous decision on a similar proposal submitted on January 19, 1948. John Howland Plans John Howland submitted architect's plans for a proposed home on the so-called Veterans' lots on Hill street. The matter was deferred until more data was secured. It was decided that Mr.Blackwell would be paid on his work to date as shown by submitted bills. Aerial Survey Progress Nr -Cromwell reported that about one-fifth of the work of the Aerial Survey had been completed to date, but inclement weather lad held up fmfiher progress on the work.
