Mr.L.G.Brackett, surveyor for Mr.RoekweU (the owner) appeared be-
fore the Board regarding a proposed subdivision of the land on the north -
'vest corner of Hancock and Revere streets. It was suggested that this
development be laid out with the adjoining land so as to tie in with
Liberty and Ledgelawn avenues. Par.Brackett stated that he would talk with
the owners of the adjoining land and try to work out a joint layout.
Mr.Cromwell reported the results of a meeting with the Board of Se-
lectmen on May 17 at which the Selectmen agreed to appropriate $500 from
Highway Maintenance funds towards the expense of an aerial survey of the
Town.
ZI& O Bid on the Aerial Survey
Mr.Cromwell read the bid from a firm represented by Mr.Peter Zitso
for an aerial survey of Lexington. The figure quoted was $2740.00.
'Proposed
Mountain Road Subdivision
Mr.Charles D.Wallace, 8 Groton street, Boston, 18, appeared before
the Board with a proposed subdivision of land on Mountain road (Melvin J.
Dangel, owner). There was considerable discussion with Mr.ikllace on this
layout and he was given a copy of the new Board of Survey regulations and
will return later with a layout for a preliminary approval.

Mr -Johnson moved and W .Richards seconded the motion, that a bill of
$31.20 from Cromwell & Company for expenses in connection with mimeograph-
ing 200 copies of subdivision regulations of the Lexington Planning Board
be paid. Passed unanimously with Mr.Cromwell not voting.
Aerial Survey Contract Awarded
Mr.Richards moved and Mr.Johnson seconded a motion that the contract
be awarded to the Eastern Aerial Surveys, Inc. for an aerial survey of Lex-
ington for $950 as specified in his letter of May 8, 19/+8, with the under-
standing that this survey be made at the earliest possible moment. Passed
unanimously.

Mr.Joseph Silva with Mr.Francis Barks, his attorney, appeared before
the Board regarding a proposed subdivision of his property off Sunnyknoll
avenue. As shown on a map submitted the land on the south side of the
proposed road was registered in lots of 50 ft. .frontage, and the land '
on the north side of the road was never registered. Mr.Cromwell ex-
plained that section 81-X, Chapter 34.0 of the Acts of 1937 apparently
applies to this case. There was considerable discussion on the right
of way into the area and legal opinion will be sought in this matter.
Limits on Agreements
Mr.Burns pointed out that in all future agreements for construc-
tion of roads in subdivisions, terms and limits should be clearly de-
fined. The Spring street agreement is an example of what not to do.

A letter from Town Counsel Lynch recommending the cancellation of
Mr.Baskfn's agreement was read. After considerable discussion it was
suggested that Mr.Baskin be asked to appear before the Board at its next
meeting on Tuesday, Maar 25.
