Donald R,Mellen Voted: to pay Mr.Mellen $12 for plotting houses on master plan. Cromwell & Gomnarty Voted: to pay Cromwell & Company $10 for postage expenses and stenographic work in 1947. Parking Meters The Board received a letter dated November I2 from the Selectmen asking for its opinion on installation of parking meters. The Board felt that it was not as yet sufficiently informed to present a definite recommendation,, and that parking meters were only one aspect of the gen- eral parking problem. It was decided to write the Selectmen to this effect. Bull Tavern Foad Mr.Houdlette had received a suggestion that the new access road to the Bedford Airport be named Bull Tavern Road because of its historical significance. It was decided to pass this along to the Selectmen. John T.Blaelamll Voted: to pay Mr.Blackwell #53.44 for work on the tax title and combined sewer, water and zoning maps. Tax Titles Mr -Blackwell presented his map as tax title properties. It was decided that the map and appurtenant information should be given to the Selectmen together with an outline of the various possible procedures by which the conditions could be remedied. Mr.Blackwell explained the purpose of establishing census tracts. In brief: The Town is not required to establish them. However, it may di- vide the Town into various areas, each being more or less homogenous and each having population of from 5,000 to 10,000.
