School Sites
The School Committee met with the Planning Board at 7:30 p.m.
and a field trip was made to investigate further the lands bordered by
Grant Street, Colony Road and Adams Street as a possible site for an
elementary school, and the approaches thereto.
Discussion and map Work followed and it was tentatively agreed
to consider two possible sites: the first about 5 acres between Grant
Street and Colony Road (with the possibility of relocating Colony Road
so as to gain about an acre in area); the second about 8 acres, comprising
a strip of flat land extending from Colony Road though to Adams Street,
between the farm buildings and the greenhouses on Last Street.
Mr.Grindle agreed to obtain further information on these
properties, and to make an appointment at the earliest date for both
boards to meet with the Selectmen.

ington, the photos being in continuous sections at a scale of 1" a 100'.
State ownership lines are also indicated. Chairman is to get in touch
with the Engineering Department for the property lines to be indicated
on the black-line prints, which were turned over to them early in June.
Nothing more can be done until this phase of the work is completed.
The meeting adjourned at 11 p.m.
