HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-07-08 PLANNING BOARD MEETING III July 8, 1947 Present: Ferguson, Worthen, Cromwell and Richards Antonio Buse Mr.Buaa appeared before the Board at 8 p.m. with a preliminary plan of development of his land between Rawson Avenue and Lowell Street, compris- ing about 40 lots, and prepared by Mr.Brooks. Having been denied by the Board of Appeals, Mr.Busa requested approval of a short road off Rawson Ave- nue, sufficient for one house lot only, before going to Board of Survey. The Planning Board approved this layout. School Site Further consideration was given to the land at intersection of Colony Road and Grant Street as a possible grade school site. Location is nine- tenths mile from !4lkssachusetts Avenue, relatively flat, and comprises approx- imately 5 or 6 acres. Area on Grant Street, about 150 feet deep, is owned by Bowser, remainder now to Baskin, and in process of preliminary subdivision for about 6 house lots. There was no further discussion. Subsequent to this meeting, the following business was transacted: Mr.Nickerson The formal resignation of Mr.Nickerson was received July 9, for reason that he has ceased to occupy his Lexington residence. This resignation was accepted by the available majority of the Board, and the Town Clerk so notified on July 14. Population Man The plan of the Town at scale of 1" is 500', indicating all houses existing to date, has been completed. The bill was approved for payment fbr this work in amount of $103.50.
