Mrs.Blaine Tenney Mrs.Tenney, 2030 Massachusetts Avenue, Ioxi.ngton, is about to acquire some property on Massachusetts Avenue opposite the foot of Charles Street. She proposes to erect thereon a colonial type apartment house. The Planning Board indicated that they would look favorably on the proposition and gave her forms and instructions. They suggested it might be best for her to ask for establishment of a CI .lone. Concord Turnpike The Board met with the Selectmen to consider future policies regard- ing service roads and related matters on the Concord Turnpike, The Selectmen had tended to favor a planted strip between the turn- pike and the first row of houses with a service road beyond the houses. The Planning Board gave reasons for preferring service roads adjacent to the turnpike. The Selectmen, after some discussion, finally said that they were willing to follow the lead of the Planning Board in this matter. Mr.Paxton suggested that any service roads should have a 40 -foot right of way even if only 20 feet were used. This would permit the road to conform better to contours and provide for improved appearance. He said this policy might be a little more expensive for all parties but did not consider this a governing factor. Mr.Paxton suggested that the Planning Board prepare some sort of a master plan of the Concord Turnpike with proposed service roads, etc. The Planning Board discussed this matter afterward and agreed to do this. School Sites The Board agreed to meet at the Town Offices at 7 p.m., May 27, for the purpose of making a trip to various proposed school sites. Carleton W.Patriauin The Board appropriated $5 to purchase aerial pictures of the town center from Mr.Patriquin. Adjourned to 7 p.m.,May 27, 19/+7. Reaps e tt ' Ric P. Cromwell Clerk
