HomeMy WebLinkAbout1947-02-26' PLANNING BOARD MEETING
February 26, 1947
Present: Messrs. Worthen, Houdlette, Richards and Cromwell
J. W. Greer
The Board had received a set of forms asking for
a rezoning of land in North Lexington and a check for $20
from Mr. J. W. Greer of Cambridge. Since the forms were
not properly made out it was decided to return all the
material to Mr. Greer with an explanatory letter.
Cemetery
Mr. Worthen read a letter prepared by him pro-
testing the passage of bill No. 1478. This was approved
by the Planning Board and it was agreed that Mr. Houdlette
would present it at the hearing in Boston on March 2.
' Arlington Business Zone on Concord Turnpike
Mr. Houdlette reported on his attendance at the
hearing of the Arlington Planning Board on the establishment
in Arlington of a business zone on the Concord Turnpike next
to the Lexington line. It had appeared to him that the
Arlington Planning Board was favorable to his viewpoint and
to that of the Lexington Planning Board but that opposition
by certain business interests in Arlington was strong and
determined.
Respectfully submitted,
Richard P. Cromwell
Clerk
