Voted to pay Albert A.1,1 ller $25 for his wor] in preparing suggested
plans for entrance to Ryder property from Waltham Street.
Mr.G.B.Northrup presented a plan marked "Plan of Land in Lexington, Massa-
chusetts, Scale l" 0 4', September 1946 G.B.Northrup, C.E., Belmont, Massachusetts."
The property lies on the Burlington line westerly of Adams Street and northerly of
North Street. The Board had considereds, plan on May 14,1946 and bad suggested
certain changes. The Board concluded that the new plan incorporated the changes
previously suggested and approved the new plan.
The Board examined a tentative plan of subdivision of land on the northerly
side of East Street opposite Grant Street and westerly of Vine Brook. Formal
approval of the plan was not requested. The Board gave tentative approval of five
lots on East Street and of the road entering the property from East Street. There
is a complication in the layout because of the Vine Brook easement. In order to
' provide proper area for certain lots it would be necessary to extend the backs of
certain lots 25 feet into the area subject to the easement. The Board expressed
the tentative opinion that this was proper but suggested that the existence of the
easement might detract from the value of the land.
The Board suggested that a turn -around would be desirable at the end of the
street running into the Burnham property on the theory that the latter might not
be developed for a considerable period.
The property is owned by P,ffr.John Craig. The engineer, also present, was
Mr.Fred Joyce.
Charles G.Richards
Mr.Richards had submitted Fbrm A, petitioning for a zoning change on Grant
street to maintain a repair shop. The form was incorrectly made out and it was de-
cided to forward him a blank form with instructions for revision.
