' May 14, 1946
Present: Messrs. Richards, Nickerson, Worthen and Cromwell
Benjamin A. Simeone
The Board met with Mr. Simeone and his lawyer, Albert A. Miller,
to consider a proposed subdivision. Mr. Simeone brought to the
meeting a plan which was a revision of the plan he had shown to the
Board at an earlier meeting. This one was marked, "Plan of
Proposed House Lots in Lexinton, Massachusetts, Owned by
Benjamin A. Simeone; Scale 1' to 801; February 1946; Albert A.
Miller; 146 lots, 101,5001 of street, all lots at least 100r
frontage and 12,500 square feet." The committee approved in
general of the plan. Mr. Simeone intends to develop only the
area which includes the street on the southwesterly side of the
property- in the beginning. He was told to present his completed
plan to the Board of Survey after getting it marked as being
approved by the Planning Board.
Selfridge Property
The committee considered a plan marked, "Proposed Subdivision
Land in Lexington; Scale 1" equals 401; April 1946; G. B. Northrop,
Belmont, Massachusetts." The property is on the SelinGnt.line,
westerly of Adams Street and northerly of North Street. The
Board recommended to Mr. Northrop, who was present, that the
plan be revised so as to provide either a turn around at the end
of the street that runs into the Burlington Line or their cutting
off that street, including two house lots, to obviate the
necessity for a turn around. The committee indicated that it
was favorable to the plan in other respects.

The Planning Board received from the Selectmen a letter
dated April 30, 1946 iftdicating that the Board of Selectmen had

Planning Board must have the signature of the Chairman of that
Board before they are submitted to the Board of Survey. According
to the letter it was also voted that the Planning Board be
represented at all Board of Survey hearings.
Building 21 -laws
The Board received a letter dated May 2 from the Selectmen in
which it was sgked to review Article 19 of the Building By-laws for
the purpose of submitting recommendations to the Selectmen for
the revision thereof if possible to permit the maintenance of neon
' signs. It was concluded by the Planning Board that it would not look
with favor upon any change in Article 19, and that the Selectmen
