Election of Officers The present Chairman and Clerk were re-elected to serve for the next year. Robert C. Merriam Land on Lincoln Street - Mr. Merriam showed a plan of proposed "Five Forks Village", comprising some 25 acres on the northerly side of Lincoln St., between Middleby Road and Five Forks, now owned by hiar� A total of 19 proposed lots, with frontages on the curve of existing Lincoln St., the lots running back to a maximum depth of about 800 feet. No subdivision is involved, and the Board commented favorably on the plotting of the land. Lovell Bus Co. Garage 1 Mr. Merriam reviewed the development leading up to the Lovell search for a new location nearer than Maynard, and the site at Five Forks, the petition for this location having recently been ' denied by the Board of Appeals after some study. Mr. Merriam presented a plan of land now under consideration by the bus company, which contemplates building its bus garage off Bedford Street on appxm1mate1y 1 acre of Phelps land, from the rear of the Town's fire station property to the railroad tracks. The buses would use Camellia Place, as access to Bedford St., which right of way now exists. Mr. Merriam will consult with the Selectmen and Fire Engineers on the matter, and requested a recommendation by the Planning Board. A majority of the Board members present were favorably Inclined toward to use of this land for the garaging purposes, contingent upon an improved Camellia Place, and that the buses do not make use of Hancock Avenue or Hancock Street. John Kellp Mr. Kelly of East Street, appeared before the Board with plans for lotting of three parcels of land owned by him on the corners of Lowell and East Streets. The proposed widening of East Street was also incorporated. A total of 24 lots, with acceptable frontages on . existing streets and of generous size. Not a subdivision. The Board's action not required, but commented favorably and reminded the owner of the future Lowell Turnpike. 1 C Faulkingham Petition Re: Change from R-1 to C-1 at corner of Oak Street. Petitioners' attorney has returned signatures after receiving definition of area affected as determined by the Board. Signatures do not appear on Form B, but on petitions of somewhat similar wording drawn up in June, 1945. Question as to legality of signatures and whether or not the Planning Board should accept them. The Chairman has referred the matter to the Town Counsel for an opinion. Town Meeting The Board discussed briefly the articles in the annual warrant in which we have an interest. The meeting adjourned at 9:45 p.m., sine die.
